    That's possible as they phased out one for the new one, I probably have one of the last 2.28 engines.

    Have a quick question though, the bonnet has a key to unlock it...this a factory fit or something someone has had done?

    I am the proud owner of a 'new to me' 1985 90 and my first ever LR. Wanted one for decades and can now proudly park it (hidden) next to my house. Now begins the long list of excuses for the wife as to why I 'need', bits for it.

    the 2.5 is different and can take unleaded for sure, mines the 2.28, LR carried over the series engine for a couple of years before updating it to the 2.5.

    Yep, as expected. The rule I have is regular fuel if it's going through and premium if it's going to sit still for a while. i will maybe look at changing pipes and looking into that a bit more as it's normally the rubbers that give in with the eth. Done this with my classic, so this'll be one...

    Hi Thank you for adding me. Picking up my long awaited first 90 this weekend and have a couple of very easy questions. Will search for answers so not super important, but thought I'd say hello and start a conversation here first. I'm getting an 85 petrol. That's the 2.28 engine with weber...
