Are they both fully closed, look like different lengths

I used 2mm on the Defender, I guess some areas, suspension mounts may well be 3mm.

I just checked and we have been using Britpart cheapest aswell. They are a bit poor but since they are not safety item it doesn't really matter.

What situation are you in exactly? Have you started it and got stuck? Have you got a chassis? Have you decided you can't do it before you started it?

Seems the only option is Britpart at about £70 or Land Rover at £900. Anyone tried a Britpart part one? God knows why I'm asking as there is no hope in hell I am buying genuine!

No one as far as I can tell. The Wipac ones work and the lenses are cheap so you can change them every few years or when they fade.

Then of course they will big up any job that may or may not need doing at a labour rate of £200+ per hr. Most people dont take a 13 year old car to a main dealer. You need to find an independent who has knowledge on Freelanders, you may find it doesn't need half the stuff you have been quoted...

Did you pay a Land Rover main dealer to check what it needed?

Fitted a new 2nd hand striker for the passenger door, closes like a Rolls Royce, ok not quite but better. Replaced the top hinge on the rear end door with a new 2nd hand part, that closes better now also. Put the steering wheel on straight.

Just a nice classic car horn compared to modern cars.
