What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Your eyes are better than mine, that's the sump cover then? Change the sump gasket but it's usually coming from higher up, intermediate shaft seal maybe. That's my experience anyway.

How to replace old 4 bolt power steering pump

I am sure you will find a video on YouTube which will show rather than try and explain. If you look at the offending unit it's quite logical how it's removed. I would fit a new drop arm aswell, saves the aggravation of trying to remove the old one.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Good idea, hard to see where that is, is it the wading plug hole in the bell housing it's coming out of?

D2 TD5 broke down, no fuel

Fitted a VDO pump and all is good and it's as quiet as a mouse.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

If the top down to the head gasket is free of oil leaks, timing case is free of oil leaks then it's only really oil filter housing, engine cooler pipes, lift pump and vacuum pump to look at. Stick the breather pipe onto the inner wheel arch out of the way for now while leak chasing. Diesel leaks...

    200tdi shredding cambelt.

That's not genuine, it's oem. Already has one fitted.

    200tdi shredding cambelt.

Do mean genuine in a Land Rover box? £161!

    200tdi shredding cambelt.

1st one was service item. 2nd one leaking injector pump and also had to change timing case. 3rd one is now shredding the belt.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

That is pretty bad, even by land rover standards. Rocker cover gasket can make a mess but not usually that bad. I would start there though. Also remember some of that might well be diesel.

    200tdi shredding cambelt.

I bought one of them torque wrenches with a pointer on it, whatever they are called. Bracket is on the injection pump. Maybe it will become more obvious when I strip it out.

    200tdi shredding cambelt.

What could be the cause of this? Belt has been on 500 miles and had a new timing case, and oem belt kit. I know 300tdi had a problem with this but not the 200tdi. Haven't stripped it out yet and to be honest this continuing saga is making me lose the will to live! (OK, slight exaggeration but...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Greased the propshafts, changed engine oil and filters on my 90. I know it's not a Defender but I took the rear seats and carpet out of the D2 to change the fuel pump when it arrives.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

We cut one down for the 2a when we had that, how are you going to do it? I drilled the end rib off, moved it level with the end of the tub, riveted back on, cut off the excess and refitted the tailgate.

200 tdi timing case, damage to oil seal housing

As long as the seal doesn't distort I would have thought it would be ok, maybe.

Discovery 2 TD5 non starting fuel problem

If the engine stopped running when driving the steering would be heavy and the brakes would require more effort to stop the vehicle. I guess it depends in which order it happened.

    1989 Ninety heater oddity.

The wiring looks stock and it's worked fine for years. I'm thinking must be a loose connection somewhere which might be affected by the vibration of the engine maybe. Job for another day I think.

    1989 Ninety heater oddity.

My son has been mentioning the heater fan doesn't work. I have been faffing around with it a bit with the ignition on, I can't get it NOT to work? Turns out it works fine with ignition on but not when the engine is running. Going to clean the fuse holder when I get a chance, any other ideas?
