I did wonder. I am pretty sure the top hose wouldn't still be cold after driving for an hour. Edit: oops read your post again, thought you meant it was still cold when checking after 1 hour.

Good result, never heard of undoing it like that before but it worked that's the main thing. Don't do the new filter up so tight this time.

My Britpart orange shocks completely failed after less than 5k miles. Although they have lasted well on my son's Ninety, so have the Terrafirma on the front axle.

I would change them while you are there, especially the front. All looks very rusty, I would be checking them brake lines. Don't know for sure but if it has extended flexi pipes you might need to change them back to original 🤔

Think the price will have gone up a bit since then.

Leak off pipes are new along with the copper washers on the banjo bolts. I am reasonably confident it's the actual injector. Diesel is coming out of the injector recess hole. My theory is if the copper washers on the injector was blowing then you would get bubbles, this doesn't happen. Diesel...

Make sure you use wheel chocks also when jacking up your Defender.

We often go driving for the whole day on laning or scenic drive trips, I don't find it a problem. They are a bit of an assault on your senses though compared to a normal car.
