Engine Cooling Issue - Thermostat ?

Great!!!!:):):):) You might want to check around the area where it leaked to ensure there is no corrosion that could get worse, especially if it is anywhere near the electrics. ;)

    Discovery 1 1992 refurbishment

Sell it as it is, i.e. a runner, for spares or repair. If it has an MOT so much the better. Some people love to do them up for green-laning etc and there are also those who like the 200tdi engine. Making the assumption that is what it has. Anyone keen on green laning or offroading would...

Would not a yellow/amber indicator bulb do then? I am sure you have looked into this deeply and whatever the problem is the solution isn't easy, or you would have solved it. For the last kit car I am supposed to be building, I bought a pair of P80 headlamps. They are exactly right for the...

W has been cutting off big bits of the white fur from one of our dogs and jamming them into places around our decking rails for the birds, to help with their nesting. Lovely to watch the little birds pulling and pulling beakfuls of it out and flying off!

Starter having trouble with rebuild engine

You'd expect the higher compression, although is it possible that the tappets are a bit loose, which wouldn't help? I am thinking that this is typical of parts that wear in harmony. As the engine got looser and the starter got weaker, but you didn't notice it, until now. Also jump leads do not...

Is the bulb holder wrong? Or does it just have one of the wrong power in it? Or what? Seems a shame. :( Is this what you want? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145276300950

Nice lamps! Did you see that Wheeler Dealers where they had a home use rechroming kit? I have a kit that nickel plates but never seen one of these before. It works on much the same principle. The nickel plating one is a doddle to use. Shame you didn't remove the shower yourself. Too much of...

Also, at MOT, I discovered that one of the plastic, screw-it-in, one-size-fits-all ones wouldn't pass. :( It was behind the lockable flap so couldn't be nicked easily but evidently not as safe as it should have been. Which made me wonder why they sold them. "emergency use only" I suppose.

Good thing. Well done. The Pluriel's cap needs to be unlocked and once that is done the key won't come out of it, so there is a cunning little hook on the filler flap you hang it all on while filling up, you then have to put it back in with the key in to lock it and get the key out. And the key...

Mornin all. Two tyres on the Disco now. Going to work out if it will be cheaper to put frog tyres on W's Pluriel or Brit ones. If that is at all possible. Raining a bit here, so ... very glad that I finished the work on the trailer yessdi. Have a good day folks..:):):)

Well, it sounds as if you did this at home so there's a good chance of finding the cap. I once did this in a fuel station in Yorkshire and lost the lockable cap completely. Total pain.
