I have just hit a huge pot hole (I nearly had to use a winch to get out!)with my 1999 disco now I cannot turn off the hazards or use the key fob to lock or unlock. I can hear an indicator relay clicking in the passenger foot-well dash. I think this is the alarm and the problem. Any ideas?

i now have a big problem with the electyics as i put a new battery on it and it still shows engine disabled and when i left it without the key in it after 5 min it started to crank over and over i had to pull a lead off the battery i think the whole system is up the creek

can any one help i have the key code and have used it in the past without any problems but now it keep telling me that the engine is disabled an to enter the key code it also cranks with the key out and sounds the horn ect i have not taken the battery off to stop this and recharge it

yes sorry it has an oil cooler but it is for the auto box that has not lost any oil the engine has lost a lot of oil so i will have to look at the turbo intercooler pipe as the oil is under the battery tray if the air filter is full of crap will it suck oil past the oil seals in the turbo and...

it sounds like piston rings are letting to much pressure past so it blows out any were it can

I have the above and there is loads of oil all over place under the battery tray and chassis if it had an oil cooler i would say it was that but no oil cooler or pipes on that side, no oil on front cross member I cannot see any leaks on the engine can any one shead any light on this thanks

is there any differance between a gearbox fitted to a 4.6 and a gearbox fitted to a bmw engine

ok it is a 1997 p38 diesel had a look on Ashcroft transmissions websites they say get a new one they are probably right but i can hope its only a silly thing like filter and oil as it is ok once it is going

my rr will drive if i go into 1st 2nd and 3rd then in drive it will then go up and down without problems unless i slow to below 10mph but if i go stright into drive it just revs any one have any ideas thanks

it might have been a ser bodys on 90/110/disco chasis keeping the new engine and running gear and gear box

is their anything that might stand out (did it have any extras fitted) or lumps / bumps that the owner would recognise as it might be a different colour or just parts
