    FL2 electrical issue with tailgate

I'd agree it's a common issue, I did the switch on mine last weekend. Getting the number plate lamps out was a bit of a fiddle and I ended up cracking the tailgate handle slightly.

    Freelander 1 Brake pipe/line question

I think I've still got a pair of genuine solid pipes that fit from the cylinder to the flexi. They were bought for a 2004 that I no longer own. If you think they might be of use PM me...

    Coolant leak 2.2 08 lr2. Picture attached

I'd say thermostat. Did mine last year as it had failed, but there looked to be evidence of a very slight leak. Fairly common for little leaks where a plastic part meets metal. Different rates of expansion and contraction... Anyhoo, fairly easy DIY, if a little messy. Especially as I couldn't get...

Freelander 2 (LR2) Freelander 2 diesel starting on 3 cylinders, now running properly, after cylinder head change.

Good work Nodge, I've been following this thread with interest and glad it's running again You can't beat the feeling of satisfaction I remember when I changed a fuel injector on my old TD4 after reading some horror stories about getting them out, but it all went well and my mate just happened...

    Sd4 Timing belt change

I paid £506 for a cambelt change including waterpump, autobox fluid change, diff oil change and haldex fluid change at the specialist I use. He strongly recommended 120k or 10 years and he was the head tech in a main dealer, so I listen to his advice. Mine was done at 10 years which was 114k...

Freelander2 strange noise from pully area

Tis an auto, so can't do the knock it into neutral test, but I could stick it in manual mode to test if it's related to road speed tho' Like a lot of people, I am working from home at the moment and so haven't driven it for 3 weeks and it looks like I won't be for another 3...

Freelander2 strange noise from pully area

Unfortunately the 1800rpm vibration thing seems quite common with no real explanation or cure from what I've read. Mine does it, but it's never got any worse and sometimes I don't really notice it. I'll mention it to my specialist next time it goes in for a service...
