    Freelander 1 Header 0292

2005 TD4 Having problems with the OBD socket, I have power and earths, ABS and Immobiliser read but I can't get anything from the EDM. Looking at the wiring diagram the pink wires from the EDM go into a Header number 0292? Does anyone have any idea where this is located?

    Freelander 1 Engine Light iCarsoft

I think I have (@Nodge68 has) found the possible problem, I can't get any code reader to find the ECM, they all are saying can't connect. I have checked all the connections on the ECM in the engine bay and they are all clean and I can't see any obvious faults. Where do the modules all feed...

    Freelander 1 Engine Light iCarsoft

I am still struggling with this. I have purchased another engine code reader and it still isn't connecting to it so I beginning to think it may be wiring somewhere that is not right.

What have you done to your Freelander today

It is a little bit more smoky yes. No codes are showing at all, iCarsoft only showed ABS and Immobiliser modules. Tried another generic engine tool and that doesn’t come up with any codes

    Freelander 1 EML Light

I don't know if it was faulty or having software issues but I had no joy at all with it. The dealer I purchased from was fantastic and we went through everything on it to try and get it to read the car but it only came up with the 2 systems.

    Freelander 1 EML Light

Unfortunately no, the only data i could get was the ABS and Immobiliser using the iCarsoft scanner, my other scanner won't do anything. I was so disappointed with the iCarsoft one that I have sent it back, it kept resetting itself.

    Freelander 1 Engine Light iCarsoft

I have been trying all weekend and some times it comes up with 5 or 6 different modules other time just 2 but always saying there are no error codes but the EML on the left of the dash (One with no explanation mark) is constantly on. Checked all the OBD wiring and socket and all is OK.
