    Other P & P costs

Tried that one, only one showing and they want £10.00 for it. Just ordered from LR Direct just saddens me that I have spent nearly £1000 on it and you find you need one extra item.......

    Other P & P costs

What is it with parts suppliers and their delivery costs, the part I want is £2.20 yet all of the parts companies want a minimum of £4.95 to post it, I appreciate there is the cost of a small Jiffy bag involved about 30p then 1st class postage about £1.00, possibly cheaper if you have a franking...

    Freelander 1 Dash Lights

I had to replace one sensor, but the rest I didn’t have any problem with. The bearings have gone in the same way as the old ones came out, rubber side to the rear.

    Freelander 1 Dash Lights

As some may have seen I have done quite a bit to my 2006 Freelander TD4 to try and keep it well for many years to come. I have removed all the hubs cleaned them and replaced the wheel bearings in them, on starting it up fir the first time I now have more lights on the dashboard than a tree at...

    Hippo refresh

Onward and upwards or so they say. Still waiting on a couple of brake pipe clips for the rear I have also replaced both rear brake cables just for peace of mind. So it was time to start the front last week, same sort of issues as the rear to be honest jut that on the drivers side there was an...

    Hippo refresh

    Freelander 1 Heated windscreen retrofit?

My facelift was pre wired to the switch, I got all the other wiring for under the front scuttle panel, relay etc from one from a scrapyard. That way all the wiring is the correct rating for the job. There are 2 connections on the screen one left side and one right for power with an earth wire...

    Hippo refresh

I have worked on worse, and haven’t found any holes yet, which is good. Just taking my time with it and getting it right.

    Hippo refresh

I have had the hippo just over a year now and still enjoy it as much as the day I picked it up, 2006 TD4. As always there are little jobs to do here and there on it so I have started to give it a bit of love and attention that it needs. I had a new clutch put in it earlier this year and the...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Removed the rear hub and removed the wheel bearing. When removing the inner race of the bearing off the hub I have nicked the hub with the grinder, what are peoples thoughts, new hub or will it be ok?
