I don't want to boast but........

That the one in sibbertoft? That was my first ever off roading trip in the D2, took me half an hour pressure washing the chassis rails till they finally drained clean :)

Series 3 Diesel fuel line question

Its just a push over fit, might be worth swapping the line completely to see through type, but long as you got the length its fine so long as it stays a tight fit when you replace it and tot says may need some encouraging, I changed mine to hoses and put clamps on for easier chopping and changing :)

Disco 2 Starting problems - where to start looking????

Yeah you're right wouldn't take as long as Paul describes to fire, less they're totally shot which wouldn't likely be sudden

    Series 3 Series 3 1972 Restore

Spent all day grinding the most of the surface rust off the front end of chassis up to where will be cut out, but only managed about half the job in that time, its come up nice so far and there's no spots that need any more attention than a coat of the chassis in one paint I ordered from...

Gotta do it! My old man gave me my S3, all 200 quid of it, it'd been sat there since I was too young to know what it was, but I always wanted it, we dragged it out the hedge and now landys have taken over me life, long as they appreciate it ;) Was one of those days! :D

Series 3 1974 2.25 Diesel with air problems (SOLVED)

If there is the slightest amount of air getting in there it can still run fine, very very small amounts of air won't stop it, but can stop it starting once it builds up. Check thoroughly around the pump body for any bubbling at all, often when the engine is running a tiny air leak will show up...

Adding to last post, that cost me 400 squid for 1/2 chassis, rear middle cross member, and front dumbiron job by, 1/2 chass was 300 odd, and its great quality, welds are snazzy, except the paint is s@#£ Saves me a grand in my eyes! For the front all I need to do its pull off some...

@harveyw97 Most chassis will only need major work on the rear since the front usually gets a nice smothering of oil, tis what's happened to mine so I went with buying a half chassis that gets rid of the whole naff end in one go leaving only a bit of de rusting at the front to do :) Plus the...
