Land Rover Covered in Poop for the 3rd time - Should I help the bloke?

Vandals smear POO over couple's cars for THIRD time and then set fire to one. This bloke lives a couple of miles down the road from me. I drove past the other day and saw it smeared but thought it was mud, turns out its not. Starting to feel sorry for the couple but at the same time, there...

    landrovercity.com anyone used them?

What a strange and entertaining read. The only explanation is an extreme case of lost in translation..

puma 2.4 tdci and ford transit 2.4 tdci

Pretty sure they are exactly the same except a couple of aux items. I think the puma's were recalled on an oil pump failure but I don't remember the transit getting the same recall. Is there a price difference or something?

    Clearing the way.

Speaking as a tree surgeon for over 10 years, I have never come across a law stating that any sort of licence is required to use a chainsaw in a public place, nor any sort of public liability (we are qualified up to our eyeballs so correct me if I'm wrong). It is definitely a grey area because...

    Quad Choice

Ha, no worries. Yeh, that's a good point. Quads have pretty light footprint. You could get some huge grass tyres for the tractor but then you would be too wide.

    Quad Choice

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Kubota-B7100-4WD-compact-mini-tractor-/111887578148 No wider than a quad and a billion times more useful.. unless you need to get somewhere fast. Will last forever and nothing you can't fix with a spanner.

    Quad Choice

Wouldn't a compact tractor be a better choice over a quad?

    Disco 1 Discovery bobtail

Not my thing either but really appreciate what youve done. An awesome bit of kit. Very nicely done.

    Defender or a Disco?

I stand corrected........ You just need a good pair of boots. (that 110 looks like its had 20" trimmed off)

    Defender or a Disco?

If you wanna put beds in the back (why?) then a 90 and a Disco are too small. You can do it in a Disco 2 but the Disco 1 boot space is too small. Disco is a lot cheaper than a 110 so it depends on your budget too. Disco is a lot more comfortable than a defender (especially after fitting RRC...

    300tdi

What CCA rating? I'm sure its probably something else but I push the possibility of the battery as Ive seen so many people pull their hair out over issues when it was just a crap/knackered battery.

    300tdi

First I'd check the battery before all that above. My battery was showing 13volts, would crank for a minute but still would not get the car started. Put a new battery in and it starts within 5 seconds in the cold. Jump start it off a running car in the morning, if it starts quickly, you know...

    1990 90 Rebuild by a 19 year old!

Nice looking truck mate. Good luck. Not just you. I've got a 85x65 foot barn which was meant to be a workshop/bar.. it's now a storage facility for my family with only just enough room for me to get my truck in... I'll sort it out one day.

    3 inch lift""

It's just a bit of banter mate. If you look at the replys, youve actually got quite a lot of information here. More than I'd expect for such a compilation of questions. You've learned that a 3 inch lift is possible and there's a lot more to it than meets the eye. You've now got to make the...

The Minion Mobile Gets Ever Closer

Very nice truck man. Liking the RRC seats too. Best seats ever made. Can't wait to see this truck covered in mud ;):D

    3 inch lift""

I've got lt 265 75 r16 on my D1 and it knocked the speedo out pretty much exactly 10%. Mostly for power reasons, I fit a 1.4 lt230 and it brought the speedo back to where it should be.

    Installing lift pump 300TDi

Make sure you get the pipes back on the right way. Numpty here got it wrong once. Engine ran fine up to about 2500rpm. Took me days to figure out what I'd done wrong.

Oman, Russia, Mongolia, Kazakstan, Norway, Sweden, Germany, France, Home?

Just spent the last half hour reading through this with a coffee. Very well written report and the whole trip sounds absolutely amazing. I hastily await the time in my life I am able to do something similar. My current situation only allows for ~5000 mile trips around Europe every couple of...

    UK RAVE Download for Disco.

o_O calm down... Most people won't have those tools, so they would have to be downloaded, obviously. I would also say it is highly unlikely OP would happen to have Nero. Does Nero even still exist? It is a lot easier, quicker and makes a lot more sense to mount an image than to burn it to a CD...

    UK RAVE Download for Disco.

No need to burn the ISO to a CD. Just use something like Magic ISO or Daemon tools to mount the ISO in a virtual CD drive.
