    Range Rover p38, 2001, 2.5 diesel

    My prop shaft snapped off in July, got a new one and yesterday it went again, any ideas as to why?

    Just been to a gearbox specialist, not the gearbox it's airflow meter that's faulty, he said it will be fine after that!! £200. The joy! Apparently all that was required from my garage was a bit of common sense! Don't think I'll be using them again!

    Hmm, they've told me they've checked "everything" so they've advised me to get gear box checked which is where it is now!! I'll let you know! X

    Don't know, it's not overheating anymore since it had a new engine, it's just not got any power so pulling away is slow and quite dangerous!

    And now they can't find a fault, 80% sure it's not a ecu fault but don't know what's wrong with it, been given it back to take to gearbox specialist!! Wait and see I guess! This car is going to break me financially I feel!! Already paid out what it's worth! It's bloody **** but I do love it!

    The garage found it and fitted it, weird how you know that cracks in the block are common and they didn't as they are supposed to be Land Rover specialists!! Wish I'd been on here before I paid £900 for a head gasket that was actually ok!
