Does the £100 version go much lower than the others? Why would it require the struts on the back but the others dont? It looks more robust even without the struts! Especially compared to the removable option which is just a flat plate!

I've just fitted an oil pressure gauge to give me another thing to look at rather than the road. Cold she sits at 55, maybe up to 58PSI. Once hot she drops down between 30 to 35PSI. Workshop manual says operating temp the pressure should be 25-55PSI. So i'm within the limits, but its perhaps...

my stock 65amp alternator on the 300tdi needs replaced. I'm looking at a denso 100amp. But I've seen 120 and even 140 amp alternators advertised for 300tdi. Is it worth it? Are there downsides? Could I cook the batteries? Is bigger better?

Is there a chance the spring inside is a different stiffness though, so it may not operate correctly? I ended up buying it, so I guess we’ll soon see. Only issues is it’s a total pain to try and adjust once in place!

Has anybody replaced the waste gate on their turbo? I'm rebuilding my turbo. Waste gate on ebay is £30, otherwise about £200 elsewhere? Any issues with quality or is it too simple to go wrong? Thanks
