My Defender td5 is in the garage at Famous Four right now, looks like the head is cracked and may need a new/recon engine. I'm gutted!! Been quoted about £2,300 if it's just the head and about £7,000 if it needs new engine. Has anyone used them before?

Hi, I'm wondering what may cause a rocker box seal to blow? Mine did a couple of days ago :(

Cheers :-), got her booked in for a service today so then I'll know how much bluddy oil is in there and they'll look at the seal too....hoping I haven't got any damage! :-)

So yesterday, still being not sure how much oil was in my engine, I drove to town about 15 miles. Got to tesco and noticed oil pouring out of the engine....sh*t!! Drove to the nearest garage where they discovered that the plug on the rocker cover? had blown...How much trouble am I in? :(

Alway wipe after removal and reinsertion ;-)
