    Dash recovering

Did mine about 4 years ago. Cheap eBay vinyl and cheap spray adhesive, held together by other fittings and bits. Still OK! Only picture I can find.

Thank you. It was project threads that got me started in the first place and gave me the momentum to restart when I hit a stop. It is also great to look back and see how much you've done (in 5 years!!)

Once I'm running properly I'll fettle everything to get best response. I was just making sure it looked right to actually serve the function.

Tried to get the throttle linkage sorted today. My original pictures from when I stripped it down look nothing like the manual!! So I created a hybrid version. Could any of you bright sparks see if this looks right??

Until I got to where I am now. Now here's a test for you all. What is the problem with having a tailgate and a roof ladder?

Then I got carried away and fitted the windscreen! And then (just to get it off the drive) the roof rack!!

A lick of paint, some capping (wrong way, I know....) and that all important badge. Then them funny tin can screw in light fittings; left And right I think they might be my most expensive single outlay so far!! Capping sorted and sides offered up before fitting the seals.

Tailgate on and everything fixed to the chassis.

Rough old tub. Couple of coats of primer. Fixing the tub supports. A coat of the thick gooey black stuff. Fitting them funny fibreglass insert bits. (Technical terms, as always!) Resting in place, it's now getting a bit dark.... Add more later.

I know that it's probably in the wrong order and will cause me problems later but it made me happy and the wife is happy that we have a vehicle on the drive and not a pile of scrap metal!

After waiting on various bits and pieces I decided to do the stuff I can do whilst waiting so made a start on the body work.

All sorted now!! (Thanks to Wireman!)

    Series 3 Accelerator Cross Shaft

Re-assembly going strong today with lots of bits back on. Trying to put the throttle gear back together and appear to have lost the accelerator cross shaft!! Have everything else but...... I have a slight fear it may have got mistaken for a spare bit of metal and used in a welding project...
