Sport wheels or modular wheels? Decisions...

Got one car on AT's all the time, second is on road ones 18" . Well difference is huge. That on road wheels is much quieter, better handling ect. Depend on road shape can be much comfortable on long ride. (but you feel every "bump") AT one is better for rough roads, bumps are unnoticed, but...

Winch electrics in L-series Freelander. Albright solenoids fitted in front left wheel arch in place after air resonator box. Good access to car battery - is just above, and we got a big hole for heavy gauge power wires (50mm2). Solenoids are sealed so don't worry about moisture/water ingress :)...

Freelander 1 facelift vs pre facelift

You can swap it. But swap for less comfortable seats will be... strange :P

Freelander 1 facelift vs pre facelift

Seats are different, dash is different, center console can hold 2 din radio, 5 door cards are different (in facelift window switches are on doors). Engine have some small changes (IAT sensor on IC Pipe ect)

    Gear selector

Slacks on ball joints. You got a couple of them IIRC 2 on gearbox itself, and 3 on selector box bolted on lower part of firewall.

2 and 2,5 mm rubber butyl mats with alloy on top, 3&6mm rubber foams (water resistant) In doors you got 2 layers in outer skin (2,5 mm mat and 6 mm foam) , doors are closed with 2,5 mm mat (as substitute of door water shedders), and 3 mm foam on door cards.

    Whooops, I do it again...

Yes, difference is huge - especially in 3 door car - because it have... nothing for soundproofing :D . Less road noise, better ICE sound, better thermal comfort, and no sound of opening can when close/open doors ;) Roof is also coated with 2 layers of sound proof materials - body roof and hardtop.

    Whooops, I do it again...

Plenty of job with soundproofing. ;) Also ordered new headliner and A-D post finish in creme chamois. New Audison audio system is on the way. Boot: Doors: Here you can hear what is the difference between soundproofed panels and stock. Doors are done, rear quater not:
