    L322 Early L494 or late L322

For that sort of budget, my money would be going in a L494. As much as I love the 322, the design is best part of 17 years old.....even the 494's are 7 years old now...

L322 Revs fine in Park and neutral, put in drive and 2500 max

If you've replaced the in tank fuel pump, did it make any difference? I would be looking at the secondary in-line fuel pump next which is located on the underside, Infront of the rear N/S wheel by the sill (there is a little hatch to access it which is held on with a 10mm bolt IIRC) The...

    A little Help...

If you look hard enough online, you must be able to find an old brochure of some kind with colours, interior options, specs on the 2007 RRS etc which will help you?

    l322 2006 TD6 Chiptuning?

The M57 lump AKA the TD6 in the L322 indeed takes very well to a remap with some decent impressive power gains, however as Keith said the GM gearbox is not the greatest of gearboxes mated to the TD6 and is simply not upto the job. The GM box typically only has a lifespan of 80-100k miles in...

Head gaskets going in the AJV8's aren't unheard of either

    L322 Front end knock

We like a nice cheap self diagnosed fix, very satisfying :D

    L322 Front end knock

I indeed bought two Dunlop struts (back in 2014) and they both were 'knocking' as soon as fitted. It wasn't a horrendous knock, worse in the cold but didn't do it before they were fitted. Diagnosed eventually (after replacing every damn part of the front suspension) by lifting the hood...

    L322, looking at buying a 5-0 autobiography

I'm was bidding on a couple on the bay a few of weeks back but with no luck, one a 2011 the other a 2009. The AJV8 engines are pretty good, but beware with the 5.0 there's not many about compared with the 4.2 ....a engine rebuild is VERY expensive on them  I'm looking at the earlier...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That's a relief, put my 2002 TD6 L322 in for her MOT this morning, Passed with 2 advisories for front and rear subframes corroded. Celebratory beers later! :D

    2004 L322 Diesel

I would read the live data for the front height sensors on diagnostics and see what height the sensors are telling the BCU and go from there. You said you tried to re-calib the suspension, what diagnostics you using?

    L322

I'm afraid the Hawkeye won't get it out of transport mode......it has the option....but it simply will not carry out the procedure (as I found out 3 years back when my battery played up putting mine in transport mode) I purchased the allcomms for that very reason..... And it worked fine. The...

    L322

Yes I have RSW all comms..... I'm not exactly local though ( I'm in Bedfordshire ) If you are planning on keeping the L322 a while, I would strongly recommend purchasing some diagnostics for it yourself though.....it will pay for itself in the long run.

L322 2002 TD6 has Funny turn this afternoon....

2002 TD6 Vogue..... Had it 6 years now and it's been great. Used as a second car the last 3 years doing little mileage, towing caravan etc. It's been off the road a couple of months (not due to a fault, just not needed). I started every few weeks, no issues, was on the optimate last week for...

    D2 - 2004 Interesting wheel alingnment issue......

My Rangie had 20"s on as standard wheels when I got it (255 50 20) I know the track and suspension set up being different to the D2 but never had any issues with that tram lining like the D2 did on 18"s.

    Having issues with my battery

You sure the battery itself is in top working order and not been on it's way out?? In my experience, when a car battery has died, it's never the same again... I thought my RR had a drain but it didn't.... Was just the battery slowly coming to it's death ;)
