L322 SC Slight 'groan' when pulling away

Hi all, Just wanted to pick your brains. Got a 2005 SC L322 with the 6HP26 box in with under 100k on the clock. Done a gearbox oil/filter change, oil colour was fine as was magnet in the sump. Sometimes when pulling away from a standstill, get a bit of what I can only describe as a slight...

    Disco 3 (LR3) Aircon regas

Got my L322 re gassed at quik fit a few weeks back now, they were doing an offer £40. Got my Beema done last week at F1autocentre, again they had an offer on worked out £47. Typically, AC re gas "normal price" seems to be around £60 for R134 gas.

    P38A Replacing brake lines.

Good job people, replaced a front one on the L322 which was located behind the wheel arch liner which failed on me recently (fortunately was only round the corner from home) Ive not seen the brake pipes run over the rear of the axle before either :)

    New Disco Is here

2" blocks will be your cheapest bet, I assume it has coils on the rear too then and not air? If you leave the standard shocks on, this will limit your articulation, if you changed the lot for extended shocks too, you will need to be looking at extended rear brake flexi's IIRC.

    D2 or d3

I had 2 D2's, both TD5's and a manual then an auto. Both excellent cars, both had the CDL fitted in my ownership. I was looking at D3's wanted a change, ended up with an L322 Rangie though. What D3 do you have? Personally, I think the D2's would be cheaper to maintain, parts, labour etc, no...

L322 Air Suspension gone mad !

That was why I suggested he leave it in neutral with the handbrake off whilst calibrating, I'm sure some people probably thought I was mad but you've explained it a lot better than I would have! Harry, I gave up on my old early RR in the end, it was sat exactly where it should have been on...

L322 Brake pipe 'clip' part number

Hi all, Changing the brake pipes / Flexi's on the 2006 Supercharged. Can somebody please confirm the brake pipe 'retaining Clip' Part number, struggling to find it.... Could it be SGK100670 ? The Clip in question is used between the brake pipe where it joins onto the Flexi hose. Many thanks. Rob

L322 Air Suspension gone mad !

Ant, just out of interest as this confused me a little when I was calibrating mine, do you know why Storey Wilson measures from the centre of the hub when he re calibrates on 4DCAN on a later L322? (His YouTube demo video) Cheers

L322 Air Suspension gone mad !

@MrMach2 Just ensure you Do not loose the original height settings. I used a different system to what your using I used RSW solutions all comms. The procedure may well be different, with the allcomms, After each new input of heights you have to put the suspension into off road height then back...

L322 Air Suspension gone mad !

I hope you measured / took note of the heights "stored in the system" before trying To re-calibrate it. I attempted re calibrate my TD6 last year and stupidly didn't...... I couldn't get shot of the " articulation validity " Fault after, once driving off and going over 20mph despite it being...

L322 Problem with a little fan inside AC front panel

I'm pretty sure (as Keith says) mine goes off with the ignition. However, If you lock the car with yourself in it (undo a window just in case it won't unlock you don't want to be stuck in!) press the 'lock' function on the key again quickly once locked to disable the interior movement sensors...

L322 Implausible left front wheel speed signal

@Datatek FYI Got in sorted eventually, after lots of playing around with it. Ended up shaving about 1mm off the seat of the sensor (the bit that sits against the hub) so the actual sensor sits 1mm closer to the reluctor ring and that sorted it.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Got round to fitting a new (but used) indicator stalk for the SC, the old one wasn't clicking back off again after turning which was irritating. Took a little longer than I expected.

L322 Implausible left front wheel speed signal

There doesn't appear to be any play in the wheel bearing Keith. The sensor is definitely not touching the reluctor ring, pretty sure it shouldn't on the 322.... there would be marks on the sensor if it did (and I've pulled the sensor out a few times now) Tried to remove the NSF sensor to swap...

L322 Implausible left front wheel speed signal

@Saint.V8 Just to update: I've Fitted a new 'Green' coloured connector OSF wheel sensor, all the warning lights went out (to begin with!!!). Oh great start me thinks!!!! So there's definitely a difference between the later green coloured sensors than the earlier blue ones. They look...

L322 Implausible left front wheel speed signal

To be fair you can do with it on full lock, but it makes it tricky, much much easier with the wheel off as Ant says.

L322 Implausible left front wheel speed signal

You should have a jack in the boot with the spare wheel ??

L322 Implausible left front wheel speed signal

I'll stand corrected then Ant! The Speedo on mine does appear to be taken off the OSF wheel sensor. Since the OSF sensor has thrown a fault.....no Speedo.
