What's the P&P on there that you can see? It's £14.99 when I look at it, but that's the cost sending it to me here in KL.

You can get them off ebay. I did. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RANGE-ROVER-P38-EAS-AIR-SUSPENSION-VALVE-BLOCK-O-RING-DIAPHRAGM-REPAIR-FIX-KIT/321451232414?fits=Model%3ARange+Rover%7CPlat_Gen%3AMK+II&epid=18003044064&hash=item4ad7fc8c9e:g:cPYAAOSw3BFcoc6s

    P38A Valve block rebuild today!!

Well I reckon if you stuck with a set of good viton orings, you'll be fine. I've had them from a variety of vendors, starting with Rover Renovations to the most recent X8R and they've all been fine. It was only that batch of silicon orings which didn't seem to have the longevity of the viton...

    P38A Valve block rebuild today!!

Ermmmm.... I wouldn't use those red silicon orings. I've had them before and they don't last. With proper viton ones the shortest lived rebuilt block I've done lasted 3 years, the best went to 7 which was hard for me to believe, but it did. When I tried with the red silicon ones- this was...

    Another EAS Post Sorry

... as does the judicious application of alcohol, in some cases, I find.

Oh don't be. It can sometimes be quite difficult.

I guess it depends on where the cracks are. At full height the cracks may be closed enough to hold the air in but open at normal height which is where the car spends most of its life anyways. Knowing where the crack is, is important.

Yes I know.... I mean PRIOR to his doing that.

    Another EAS Post Sorry

Oooooooo.... that's nasty. Hang on.... what are you parking the car on? I hearsay they do tend to self adjust and lower themselves if the ground beneath them isn't level.

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

Yeah.. that's a valid concern, but so for it hasn't been an issue. I think it might be if you went and DUG it out of there, but it's quite easy not to. Either way- plastic crochet (thanks again) hook would appear to be the safest option. I think my neice's are some sort of alloy, but no...

P38A I've just done the unthinkable....

So long as you haven't rolled it off some cliff, I doubt if this will be the end of your P38 saga. Mine has spent very long stretches in storage, down with some malady or other, during the time it's been with me.... and it always comes back. I'm sure yours will, too. :D

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

Well it might leak if- as I said a while ago- if you have a misaligned oring in there, or a damaged collet, or a damaged oring, or some debris. Popping off the collet isn't a big deal. A couple flat head screwdrivers applied under the collet will do it. Since you've eliminated so many other...

Oh that's a new one on me! I always thought it adjusted itself here and there for a while but ultimately went to sleep. Well there ya go- live and learn!

What did you do with your Range Rover today

My £91 BMW crankshaft damper + £77 shipping (DHL, no less) + £50 import charges arrived today. So it's crankshaft damper and sunroof to do- no more excuses to keep procrastinating about them.... then calibrate EAS and HMS Unfixable will be- for the time being- fixed!

P38A Dreaded EAS fault (Max 35MPH) is this going to empty my wallet ?

Knitting needle..... or is it crochet (I forget which it is- the one with the lil hook at the end) needle is the tool of choice to remove them. I usually avoid reusing orings once they've been removed- even if they are otherwise brand new. There's a chance you damage them while you poke around...
