Well, managed to eventually get the door card off without breaking it and unclipped the new handle and it opened using the advice above!
It seems it was a combination of the rod being in the wrong hole (needs to be the top one) and an unoiled latch, so now all is good!

Had a trawl but cannot find an answer.
I recently pulled a bit too hard on one of the second-row door handles on my 110 and it broke off so I replaced it OK but after I locked it and shut the door I can't unlock it or get it open. :mad:
The lock will not 'click'...
I bought one from YRM which you can "just slide in" and has separate brackets that bolt on to the chassis!
Although, it's not as easy as it's sounds and you may need jacks, crowbars and a lot of swearing to get it through the gap or big hammers and the like...

might be something on here or google or youtube, but normally it's block the pipes, drill out the rivets in the box, unclip the control cables, swap out the matrix, re rivet, etc.
I'm just getting the arse end of my 110 done using a half chassis from RCP and it's looking good and about the third of the cost of replacing a whole chassis!
