    Range Rover td6 limp mode?

As in remapped or chipped? As far as I know it’s not. It certainly doesn’t behave as if it’s been remapped And there’s nothing plugged into the fuel rail.

    Range Rover td6 limp mode?

Boost pressure regulation 1E30 I’ve checked all the vacuum lines and all are fine. Vanes for the turbo move as I’ve also checked there. New silicone hoses and new vortex style breather and no better. Also have a smooth running fault.

    Range Rover td6 limp mode?

Afternoon all I have yet another issue with my l322. It appears to go into some sort of limp mode when worked hard up hill. There’s one hill I go up on a dual carriageway and carry about 75mph going onto the hill. Giving the Range Rover everything it’s got it slows down to about 45 then...

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

So after doing my first long journey in it I’m wondering if it’s engine related and not gearbox. Travelling along a dual carriageway no issues if it’s flat. Going up a slight hill at that speed and the revs were bouncing between 2500rpm and 2600rpm but no loss in speed I had the cruise control...

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

I think it’s a fair comparison. The engine is an m57 detuned and with a different sump other than that it’s identical. The main wiring loom is a mixture of 5 series and 7 series. The gearbox is use on the e53, e46 and e39. The gearbox software may be slightly different but not greatly. Which is...

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

I should also add yesterday all the covers came off and the inlet manifold came off as having owned several bmw with variations of the m57 engine I know the vacuum hoses suffer. And I had a quick inspection of the injector return lines and nothing stood out on the injectors.

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

Wash board is close to how I would describe it. It’s felt through the whole car and through the steering wheel. None of the injectors are wet. And under load even up hill at the same rpm in 4th. If it’s a slight hill the torque converter will remain locked in 5th below 50mph with very gentle...

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

I’ll have to see if my diagnostics can look into the injectors. I know there is a smooth running fault. But I see this on quite a few BMWs without issue. I may still have it. Are you thinking open it up and look for metal particles in it?

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

Doesn’t vibrate unless it’s in 5th with torque converter locked between 50 and 60mph. It’s at its worse at about 55 56.

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

The gearbox is fine in every other respect. I flushed the gearbox after a few hundred miles in my ownership and the fluid came out a red pink colour with no glittery fluid at all.

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

It only does it at its worst around the 50mph mark. If I accelerate and get it lock up then slow down to about 40mph it will stay locked if I then accelerate gently it will remain locked but still won’t vibrate until 50mph in manual mode the gearbox won’t lock in any other gear apart from 5th...

    L322 td6 vibration between 50 and 70mph

Evening all trying to sort out a few niggles on the Range Rover now it’s been in daily use so there are a few new threads. I have a vibration between 50 and 70 mph it seems to get better the faster you go. It seems worse under load but is still present on overrun. At 50mph it only does it at...

    L322 2003 steering angle sensor

Unfortunately spoke too soon about this. Never had an issue with steering angle sensors on cars on the past. do steering angle sensors usually fail completely or are they intermittent like this? still takes about 20miles before the fault shows.

    Justifiable concerns?

I bought a 2003 td6 to use as a daily car to do a 50 mile round trip every weekday. When it works it’s more than capable of doing it in great comfort and effortlessness. However if you rely on anyone else to do the mechanicals you’ll be running out of money very quickly. when I bought mine I...

Just bought an l322 td6 am I mad?

Unfortunately I couldn’t Unfortunately I couldn’t stretch to a later model with that stuff. But this is pretty nice inside. It’s got cream interior with green carpet, green and cream doorcards and dash. It’s a shame because the m57 engine is really good and very tuneable if only that was...

Just bought an l322 td6 am I mad?

All going well so far. I’ve had a couple of minor issues. Today I had the old girl helping out on the farm which best suits this shape Range Rover. And couldn’t resist an older next to even older.

    L322 2003 steering angle sensor

So a new bit of information to add this light has come on 4 times in the last 2 days. Every time it’s come back on after I cleared the fault but it took 20 miles for that to happen. When it came on last night I didn’t clear the fault so it’s still stored in the cars ‘brain’ and today no fault...

    L322 2003 steering angle sensor

Hi all I’ve done a bit of search but couldn’t really find any answers. my L322 td6 has a strange steering angle fault. Unless something else is tricking the steering angle sensor. I have not done anything with the abs system the only things I have done that has any effect on the front...
