Do people use addatives in there diesel

Might make a very slight difference, but you can just buy the best quality fuel in the first place, it already contains cleaners etc. Also the amount of people I know who drive about nearly on empty and then wonder why they have issues. I now never run less than half a tank, One, you've always...

Freelander 1 intermitant loss of power

No not air filter, think it's the crank breather filter but not up on your engine as I have the ancient rover engine. All I know it's mentioned numerous times.

    excessive oil usage

Yeah keep in touch, seems crazy to fit new turbo ? I'd ask them to re fit old one, refund that expense and sort it ! Personally I wouldn't use it as they could blame you for any damage. Three weeks is too long. I'd return it and give them a few days to fix it !

Freelander 1 intermitant loss of power

Lots of threads/advice on here about that problem, have a read up but think most point to a filter under the plastic engine cover.

    Noise when Turning Left

If Kwick Unfit did the job, make sure he didn't leave his sledge hammer and crowbar attached. Cheapest check, jack up front wheels and turn by hand listening for grinding.

Circlip or spring clip or snap ring RESOLVED

Ok keep your syrup on, I should have said there's a correct tool for every job, I'm sure proper mechanics don't risk damaging bearings etc by sticking screwdrivers in when you should use proper tooling. No offence intended.

    car polish

Trying to remember as I used to be a car valeter. Thing you need one without silicone ? I use the waterless type with good results. Just wipe on and rub off even on a dirty car, takes 15 mins for whole car and leaves a good wax behind which stops dirt sticking in future. ( showroom shine ? )
