Thermostat tested. Local Landy garage had a set of rear bags off a customers car who switched to coils. Decent enough condition and will leak test at work over the weekend on the press so they aren’t unrestricted. Can’t beat a freebie even if they only last a year or two Might be in my head...

Thankfully not enough room to overtighten it. Think I read fuel pressure is like 5PSI on that side hardly any at all I did don’t worry. Went and stuck some fuel in the car and sneaked a litre into a bottle to take with me to fill filter

Oil, Oil Filter and Fuel Filter done quickly on my lunch. Didn't get round to doing a lift pump test but I will be at the weekend. Also ordered two rear bags. On closer inspection fronts look in very good fettle. Rears are sh*gged In my hurry of ordering I mistakenly ordered the older style...

UK it's technically illegal but they can't remove covers to check. Most independent local garages couldn't care less unless it's blatantly obvious and done poorly. Yes as you say probably not needed to buy the part. But nice It's on and I didn't have too

If it's not got the bypass in it I'll return it whilst I'm still there. I guess I'll test it in boiling water prior to fitting, otherwise what else can you do!

Made the mistake of reading on too many forums of various running cool scenarios. Have I made a mistake getting a Thermostat from euros? Circoli is the brand. I don't want to spend unnecessary money but also end up f**king the car. Previous cars I've never once has an issue with brands of parts

they are known to send the wrong parts if they don’t have something in stock. I only do collection and make sure it’s bang on. I’ve been caught out before!

Service definitely required. I've done all this (minus the gearbox) in my previous P38, hoping to polish it off fairly quickly and get going again.

Morning update and plans for the weekend. Got the keys working thanks to Grrrrrr. They do however seem to sometimes just not want to unlock remotely. Sort of working sporadically Secondly it's in dire need of a thermostat, it's running really cool and only getting to temp up hill. Hopefully...

The biggest issue is I'm fairly cheap - I actually think my front's look pretty damn good. Rears on the other hand, not so much

I think the other issues plagued my previous P38, hence why I'm keen to avoid. I'd rather just park it further down the drive

It's not drained in my ownership. I'm inclined to leave it unless it does. I believe previous owners lived under a radio mast
