    Hi it's the bottom plug. Measured up at 21.5mm. A core plug from a defender part number 250830 is 7/8. With a bit of fetteling this should fit. In the process of sorting it now. Will let you know how I get on. Thanks

    Hi. I can't seem to upload picture. If you look at the vacuum pump on the back facing out there is two core plugs. One of these on mine is missing.

    Hello. The vacuum pump on my 300tdi discovery has one of the core plugs missing. It's the one on the right hand side. The pump still produces vacuum and is not leaking out of the missing plug hole. Does the core plug hole the valve in place and is the car ok to drive until I'm able to repair it...

    Battery.

    It's got new earth strap from engine to battery. Starter connections have been cleaned up. Battery is 70 ah 580 cca. If disco didn't start straight away the starter struggled to turn engine over fast enough.

    Thanks for the replys. Got a 072 excide batter on at moment. Bought new last year but has always struggled to turn engine over on a cold day. Disco is a auto edc.

    Checked over fitting of window regulator. Removed and refitted. Still the same. When window is fitted to regulator the mechanism sits down slightly on one corner. The whole mechanism seems to be very loose. The plastic runner wheels are a poor fit in the runners.

    Ok thanks. I will have another look today. When the latch is operated on drivers door there's a clicking from under glove box. Is there any common problems with control unit? Is it next to window control box? Cheers

    Yes car is a jap import 300 tri auto. Alarm is a Selca with one button on fob. Pushing fob arms/disarms alarm and imobiliser and central locking. When ignition is turned off only imobiliser is armed. Button has to be pressed with key in ignition for imobilser to be disarmed.

    Thanks. I've unplugged each motor individually still the same. There's no lock unlock on dash board and central locking does not work off the key or by operating latch inside car.

    Thanks. Doing a lot of towing with heavy loads up and down some long hills. Brakes are ok for normal driving but get a bit hairy on long downhill. Auto box tends to want to run away even in lower gears. Brakes are ready for new pads discs fluid and flexible hoses. One scalpers has started...

    Hello. Thinking of fitting 110 vented callipers onto my discovery 300 tdi auto. Is it a straight swap of callipers discs and pads? Is the disco brake master cylinder ok to use? Thanks
