What did you do with your Range Rover today

I did say Landies, not Rangies, and since when have we stayed on topic! :D

What did you do with your Range Rover today

I thought some FL1s were OK on rolling roads, but still had the ABS light on until you went over a certain speed. I might be talking out my arse though, once I stray from Rangies I usually am (unless it's a rant about how **** Peugeots are)

I'd take that up with the DVSA, they issue guidance on when the light ought to go out on different vehicles. Our testers take some Landies out on a road test before failing for ABS light.

RR Evoque Low Battery Please Start Engine Warning Query

Sounds like an average day of Peugeot ownership :D

RR Evoque Low Battery Please Start Engine Warning Query

I wouldn't buy any new car tbh, they're all ****! (And I work on them all day, 6 days a week...)

RR Evoque Low Battery Please Start Engine Warning Query

I've got my doubts a Sport should be called a Range Rover personally... At least it sounds like it's sorted! I'll stick with the oldschool stuff myself!

RR Evoque Low Battery Please Start Engine Warning Query

I know this doesn't help your situation, but why on earth does anyone buy a car that requires a Main Stealer to change a battery?

RR Evoque Low Battery Please Start Engine Warning Query

Go a local garage, ask them to test the battery and altenator. This is quick and easy to do, and will give you a definite answer rather than us speculating. Like others, I'd suspect the battery first. Standing for a long period may cause it to partially collapse, at which point it won't fully...

You could buy a cheap battery maintainer if you have somewhere to connect it close to where you park her up, they've really come down in price in recent years.

Hi Everyone, Just brought my first Disco 1 Off roader...help!!!

I'd add an endorsement for some 4x4 driving instruction. The Disco shares its underpinnings with the Defender and the Range Rover Classic. This is quite a good introduction to driving offroad with these platforms: I always got by without front and rear locking diffs driving Army rovers...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Depending where you are in Oxfordshire, if not too far I know a good Land Rover garage in Warwickshire that would almost certainly sort your persistent fault out. Other than me, I don't trust anywhere else to do the work on mine now!

    Car cuts out

If it's anything like the Evokes I've seen, the the engine is probably in bits scattered around the engine bay and the road. The timing chain goes quite often, but it sounds like you've got a serious ECU issue on your hands.

    Classic Most desirable engine conversion?

200TDI is my vote. Good fuel economy (much better than the V8, and better than the 300TDI). Not much to go wrong, especially very little in the way of superfluous electircal crap. I daily drive my 200TDI RRC and it's a dream.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Red Rover did the daily commute again today, reliably running daily at the moment. Touch wood. I also had a near miss with something horrible: we've got an Ejoke that's been parked up outside for a while (broken timing chain). I had to lift the bonnet, but managed to escape after that and have...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Oof, bloody hell. Is it petrol or diesel? Petrol will start going off in a month, at least with diesel you get about a year!

Glad you made it there and back without too much issue. At least with an older engine you're only without dials when you leave something off. A modern car would have thrown a right fit and you have been looking for the wire before you could leave!
