    Welding Hell!

Oh dear, I'm not having a good day! I've just been told that my 2000 Freelander's OSR chassis crossmember has partially detached itself from the chassis! I've also been told that they should be bolted together but, somewhere in it's past, it had been welded. It's now making a horrible noise...

My car's going global! Well ............. sort of.

They first got in touch of me via a Land Rover specialist who knows me and my car. That was for the Sky One series. Since then they have kept me on their database knowing that I'm okay with them using it, especially as they move it around on a trailer, rather than drive it about. Slime58

    Cheap tricks required!

Hi all. A mate of mine has just bought a Defender County with the TD5 engine. He wants me to find out what can be done to improve performance. His main issue is getting it up to cruising speeds, once there, all is good. Going up hills is also a bit of an issue ............ apparently. Are there...

    Buying advice required please.

Hi guys. A mate of mine is looking for a Defender 90 to put dogs in and generally be used as a workhorse. What bothers me is that he's looking at a petrol engined automatic! I'm trying to persuade him to go diesel due to running costs and possible reliability ..................... but I've got...

    Project Wolf!

If anyone is interested, I've just worked out the fuel consumption during my 1500+ mile trip to Scotland and it averaged out at 34.9mpg. I think that's very good considering some of the roads we travelled on. The best leg was from the Lake District to Fort William during which it managed...
