Thanks Mick. I can't see anything obvious so I'm thinking it's not going to be an easy fix. Good luck with yours, let us know how it goes.

    Need some help please

Just an update on this. Today was the first chance I've had to take another look and things aren't looking good :( I put transer box in High range, g/box in neutral and started the engine. There was an immediate metallic rattle which went when I pushed the clutch in; it sounded like it was...

The gearbox or the transfer box Mick? It's a good point...I will double check it but I assumed that was all good as it came back from the rebuild with it all connected.

True but why would it stall so abruptly. It's like something is jammed.

    Need some help please

Hoping some of you guys can suggest what the problem is: I'm rebuilding a 1985 90 with 300tdi & LT77 box. The gearbox/transfer box were reconditioned almost a couple of years ago. A new HD Valeo clutch was fitted along with an alloy housed HD clutch release bearing and HD clutch fork (I welded a...

    Relay part numbers

I'm beginning to think that was a dumb question! Although I am a complete dumb ass when it comes to car electrics!!

    Relay part numbers

Can anyone please advise the part numbers for the relays that fit behind the fuse box cover on the dash? It's a 1985 90 with 300 tdi fitted. Thanks.

    New cross member

Hmm...'cost effective'. In my (limited) experience, those two words aren't heard at all when related to rebuilding/repairing a Land Rover! I replaced my cross member with a Blacksheep fabricated steel jobby which should last a lifetime, so I figured that WAS cost effective. It's just everything...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Spent more £££ ordering more bits :(

    Wiring in Durite gauges

Thanks Litch, had a good read through. So how did you get the feed to each gauge for their lights?

    Wiring in Durite gauges

Sorry, can you put that into English please? You did read my opening line to this thread didn't you? :)

    Wiring in Durite gauges

Firstly, let me say I am absolutely clueless about auto electrics. So, now we know where we stand going forward :) I have bought some Raptor Engineering stuff and have gone for new Durite gauges. Typically the back of the gauges are as the photo. Question is, what do I have to do to get the...

Oil Breather/cyclone - is there a better solution?

So what pipe/hose did you use to connect to the cyclone to position it there?
