    Clutch issues

Could the clutch fork have punched through?

    Core plug (Block)

If you can get to it then it doesn't take long. But if it's on the back of the engine and obscured by the bulkhead, wiring, brackets etc then you might have to take the engine out (or remove it from the gearbox and lift it) to get at it. That is a ball ache and will take some time, but it's not...

    2.5 n/a to 200tdi questions.

The engine will be further away from the radiator than it is in the Disco so you may need to fabricate oil and coolant pipes. There are plenty of threads by people who have done this, and it's not too difficult, but it's not a bolt in conversion. There will be plenty of little issues you will...

    Discovery holding back

I know this has been done a million times, but what brand of lift pump did you get? Was your car working perfectly OK before the lift pump was changed? These are self bleeding systems so if the pump is working OK then it should be a case of fit, crank it over and away you go.

    Discovery 1 production run

I had a T reg one, it was a commercial with a Special Vehicle sticker on the side. I bought it as a project like you, head gasket problem. Changed the gasket and fitted a known good second hand head, put in a new radiator and sold it to some farmer bloke from down Somerset way.

    Biodiesel Newbie quick question!

You don't even need much to make it smell either, but a few litres and you think there is a BBQ on every road.

    Problems putting 300 TDI in n/a 110

Are you transplanting a gearbox as well? Otherwise I can't see how doing just an engine is causing a prop shaft issue...

    Prices Defender vs Disco

Which would make you think the insurance would be higher... Odd really.

    Prices Defender vs Disco

Depends on who you are, your age, driving history etc. But generally I have found that it was about the same to insure my Discovery and then my 110. Maybe slightly cheaper, but only about £10 at most. But at £120ish fully comp I ain't going to argue!

    300tdi head removal?

The head bolts are done on torque and degrees. So you need a dial gauge thingy (whatever it's called). Like this..

    just bought this.defender ..??

Yep, but the airbox was different with the mounting bracket on the engine. Not unheard of for that to be transplanted as well, but rare. Usually Disco engines are used and the airbox is fabricated up somehow. If it is indeed an 87 then with the bits in the pics it is the most comprehensive...

    just bought this.defender ..??

I see that, but it has push button doors, the air intake is not on the passenger side (could be a V8 thing, like you said), plastic expansion tank, fuel filter at the front of the engine bay, the 300Tdi looks like it's a Defender one and I will bet that the gearbox has reverse below 5th. Also...

Although it says 110 on the front, it is a Defender. Unless there is something odd going on...

    SnapOn 18v 1/2" impact wrench

I am selling a SnapOn 18v 1/2" drive impact wrench. Model is CTU3850. It's well used and has all the marks and scratches that you would expect to see on a well used impact driver but it works perfectly OK. Battery holds a good charge and comes with a charger too. Also has a tatty rubber boot...

help brake pedal goes to the floor

Do the brakes actually work? I would have thought that if the vacuum pump wasn't working the pedal would be really hard to press. I could be wrong but have a look at your master cylinder instead.
