    Disco 2 Identifyig coolant leak

Yeah it’s connected to a metal pipe, which seems ok - looks like it’s the rubber hose/jubilee clip that’s the problem! Good to know what he part is.. I always get my bits eBay ;)

    Disco 2 Identifyig coolant leak

Hey people, My disco 2 has been slowly leaking coolant for about 6 months and it’s getting worse. I’m pretty sure I’ve located the pipe where the leak is originating, but it doesn’t SEEM to be part of the coolant piping system (from the info I’ve garnered from google image search diagrams)...

Towing a caravan with disco 2

You might want to check your fuel pump - I experienced everything you're describing before my pump gave up the ghost halfway to Manchester a few years back. Saying that I wasn't towing. A healthy TD5 disco wouldn't be struggling to pull past 2000 revs. Robb

    Air suspension and 18" rims

The Dunlop ones with the push in valves! I had a leap of faith moment cutting the old valves off, but they went in (and more importantly stayed in) perfectly!

    Air suspension and 18" rims

I can confirm... it was the airbags. And such an easy job fitting new ones. Robb

    Air suspension and 18" rims

Thanks for the advice.. new pair of bags ordered! The thing that had me scratching my head was seeing both sides going down (you don't expect a leak on both sides at at the same time), but then I read that the system will usually level itself out, which makes total sense.. Cheers Robb

    Air suspension and 18" rims

Hey guys, So about 6 months ago I decided to stick on some old 18" Range Rover vogue alloys (my old td5 had 18" and I prefer the look). All pretty straightforward (other than sourcing the right wheel nuts), but noticed the air suspension would randomly start dropping all the way down after a...

    Faulty Starter

Yes, sorry. I mean turns of key. Engine fires up perfectly when starter connects. I didn't try swapping relays, as when getting the silent click, problem is solved by lock and unlock procedure.. But I will give this a go tomorrow. Thanks Peter. I will take the starter out this weekend and...

    Faulty Starter

Thanks guys. Ok. I think there is a distinction to be made.. When I do hear clicking, it will start usually after a few turns. However what stranded me was when I heard no clicks at all. This still happens on occasion, but locking and unlocking brings the click (and hence an eventual start)...

    Faulty Starter

Hi, No I didn't change the plunger.. Could it be related?

    Faulty Starter

Hi guys, I have a disco 2 TD5. I've had a problem with my starter for a few months now; turn the key and get a click, after a few it starts as normal. I decided to replace the contacts, which (after a few frustrating hours trying to get the starter off) I did successfully. I was a little...
