I used a Rocky Mountain (?) one on my Lightweight 5 years ago. No problems & makes filter changes much easier. Also now uses same filter as my 200tdi Defender so no worries about ordering wrong one!

Problem is most 200 tdi’s start first turn of the key what ever the weather or however long they’ve stood as long as they’ve got fresh fuel & battery charged. I’d isolate fuel pump and crank over a few times on starter to circulate oil then reconnect fuel pump.

I’ve just measured the new OEM calipers I’ve got to fit on my Defender 200tdi. Pistons are 46 mm diameter

I noticed one of my Defenders wheel nuts was missing yesterday! Don’t know if it’s been stolen or just worked loose. I can’t believe it’s worked loose as others are as tight as. Anyone know where I can get hold of a replacement? These came with a set of Modular’s that are quite old.

I’ve bitten the bullet & bought a new OEM set of front calipers for my 200tdi Defender. I intend painting them before fitting but wonder if there’s any special preparation I should carry out before painting?

I replaced my old broken binnacle & binnacle holder a few years for the raptor ones. Easy to fit & solid.

Finally wired up my rear work light. Operated via an illuminated pull / push switch on the dashboard. Also fitted the lockable glove box from Raptor Engineering

Check panhard rod bushes as well. That was cause of mine

Finally got a decent set of headlights fitted to my 1992 110. Bought the Ore 4 x 4 LED lights. Took me two days to fit them though because disturbing all the old wiring resulted in multiple indicator failures! Left hand turn meant both rear indicators come on and only one in front. Fixed that...

We’ve had our 92 110 since new. After about 1 yr the paint started coming off vents & was resprayed under warranty. Landrover never did get the colour match right even though they went off the original build specification. I wouldn’t hold out to much hope of getting an exact match

I bought a Well known make SS exhaust for my defender only to find flanges & hangers made from mild steel & it rotted after a few years. It was crap. After advice on here I ordered one from Demand Engineering in Suffolk. Exceptionally well made and good quality SS - hangers & flanges all stainless

Blown the head gasket! Clouds of ‘smoke’ when pulling away after refuelling.Limped home and found the smoke was steam. Hopefully not warped or cracked head! First time head will have been off after 230 plus thousand miles of ownership.
