Newbie! SIII - 88"- Station wagon - petrol - RHD

That's interesting. I've got some square, recessed window side panels for my marine blue 88 van eventually; I was going to go lime with them for the original look but good to know blue could be original too.

    Series 3 Won't start up!

I've a slow turning starter on my 2.25 petrol. New starter and leads. I suspect the solenoid but I'm slightly nervous about shorting it with a screw driver. Am I being a big Jessy? Also where are people getting new solenoids from?

Had a bit of work to do on the front end but managed to find a cheap substitute wing. I don't think any one will notice.

    Series 3 Grind on over-run?

Yes had both props apart and rebuilt with new UJs all round. I'm afraid I don't know if the grinding was there beforehand. The grinding does go away if you take the roof off, however. :D

    Series 3 Grind on over-run?

Looking at this month's CLR, there is a report that an out of phase prop shaft can cause an grinding noise on the over-run, a problem I'm facing. Can anyone shed any light in this? I can understand constant vibration due to poor prop phasing but I can't get my head around a grind on over-run. I...

I stuck the relays behind the front panel, I tried to hind then behind the metal work as best I could to hide them from view and road spray I guess. I'll try and get some pictures over the weekend. I seem to remember the wiring round the light fittings being a bit less tidy.
