    Lift pump nut size

Any of you clever chaps know what the thread size is on the nuts that attach the lift pump to the fuel lines? I'm making up some new lines and need to make sure I get the right fittings.

    East Sussex calling

Nothing too major, just a few little niggles- rear prop UJs are chirping and causing all sorts of vibration, passenger door is being a pain to unlock, think it just needs adjusting but I've snapped the plunger so need to replace that, MOT is due so need to adjust the steering stops so the tyres...

Sounds good to me, you got much to do to yours?

    Wide angle prop?

    Sweet, thanks Paul.

    Wide angle prop?

I've a feeling my UJs are on they're way out so I'll be taking the rear prop off to replace them, at what point would a wide angle prop be beneficial? I'm not on a lift kit but I'm running bigger than standard tyres- 265/75/16s instead of 235/75/16s.

Are you from Rye? Your trayback wasn't parked on the Strand opposite the chip shop a few weeks back was it?

    East Sussex calling

Doesn't look like I'll be doing next weekend, I've just got back from Scotland and the drive has highlighted a few issues, looks like I'll be spannering instead of Laning next weekend.

    East Sussex calling

You'll be fine round here, there's nothing very challenging in Sussex, though the Pevensey marsh lanes have a reputation for being very muddy, I wouldn't venture into them alone, most of the other lanes- old coach road, robin post, Jevington and the cluster around rotherfield and around Hastings...

    East Sussex calling

It really depends where you are and what the lanes are like, I can't think of much in Sussex where you'd struggle in a 130 and places like Salisbury Plain you'd be fine but I spent a weekend in Yorkshire at the end of June and people were having to shunt back and forward to get round some...

    Getting the band back together.

Well I'll have to check my on-call rota for the 29th/30th, as DD says not all lanes have seasonal closures, just most of them, including most of the interesting ones in Sussex and lots in Kent, post Oct 1st we'd have to go further west or north. @flat TW2 is great, I used it to record my usage...

    Getting the band back together.

Well I'm tied up for most of September with various things but I might be free the last weekend, that would be our last chance to do either the Sussex lanes or anything interesting in Kent before they all close over the winter

    Getting the band back together.

Well you didn't miss much, I opted not to do the marsh lanes on my own and went out around Tenterden with the missus, mostly taking in a few lanes I tackled in Feb 2017, not very challenging then with mud and thick ice but they've all been type 1'd now, only bit of excitement was chopping up a...

    Brake lights not working

Well having been over it with the multimeter this eve I'm still slightly at a loss but it's all working now, I suspect maybe a loose/corroded connection somewhere or maybe a break in the feed between the switch and the rear of the vehicle, either way I've given all the connections a good blast...

    Brake lights not working

Thanks guys, I'll give those a go, I don't have anything to try the light board on but I can stick a battery across it.
  15. DaveyGTi

    Brake lights not working

The towing socket is the one that was on the vehicle when I bought it, brake lights have worked up until recently so I don't think the towing socket is the issue, all I've done is plug in the hookup for the light board
  16. DaveyGTi

    Brake lights not working

Have a problem with my brake lights, neither side is working and neither do the brake lights on the light bar on my bike rack that plugs in the towing socket (which is brand new.) Tail lights and rear flashers work, reverse light doesn't, but then it never has. So far I have: Checked fuse- looks...

No worries mate. No I'm not sure that would be my cup of tea either, London is hard work at the best of times let alone in the middle of Notting Hill Carnival!

The Old Coachroad - East Sussex

Yeah it's access for a lot of fields along there so sees a fair bit of agricultural traffic! I drove the Jevington lane last year and walked through the weekend before last, it's quite nice, bit scratchy in places though so not for shinies!
