Auto Box Wont stay in Gear

Morning Graculus, As my comments to Dan, lack of use is causing some issues. I suspect the centre console will need to be lifted to reach the lever end of said cable along with crawling underneath to sort the transmission attachment. Any guidance or easy tips would be much appreciated. Thanks in...

    Electric cars

Ditto - Interestingly in York the electric scooters have been removed because of lack of use, clearly the good people of York like to walk everywhere.

    Electric cars

Living in a city like York I can confirm that electric vehicles, especially buses and vans have completely transformed noise and air quality in the city centre. Also the increased number of electric delivery vans across the city have made a difference to the wider environment but at what cost...

    Electric cars

I must concur, we can all make changes to our consumption of energy in many ways that would be better than converting all cars to electric. I still need to be convinced that EV’s are not a smoke and mirrors project by the automotive industry. We are fully aware that Tesler (the scientist) had...

    Electric cars

I think we all agree it’s probably better but we’re also being fed some miss truths a bit like the diesel economy figures of recent years. Plus without 100% renewable energy it’s a scam anyway because the CO2 from fossil fuels is still being pumped out. As cars they’re generally an awesome drive...

    Electric cars

Hi folks, confession time. As the Dads Taxi costs were sky rocketing in the Range I had an opportunity to take on a Skoda full electric car. Getting home charging at 8 pence per KWh it costs less that £7.00 for a full charge. To date it’s saved me over £1,500 in petrol. No problems at all, as I...

    L322 Unknown Cable?

Morning Stu, I hope you had some stands under there when you clipped that wire up! Anyway, your water ingress sounds suspiciously like blocked sunroof drains or possibly windscreen seal, especially if the scream has been replaced in the past. Given the age of your Range it’s a fair bet. You have...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Hi just wanted to share my experience. When you Admiral renewal went from £400 to £800 per year I went straight back to basics and filled in the “meerkats” comparison site. That way you’re going to get whatever is out there. The result for me was a new supplier 1st Central at £400 per year...

Sport New to me 4.2 sc

Doing oily bits is very rewarding and often necessary but every once in a while it’s great to add something that the original designer would have done especially where it takes some years off the appearance of an awesome ride. Again, we’ll done Dave. Tricky

    L322 Replacing reverse light unit

You don’t need to remove that top strip to get the lamp off, simply unscrew the screw on the top and lift the lamp out. The electrical cable can be pulled through and you Rotate the bulb holder to remove. Refitting is the reverse ;). Tricky

Good call. I don’t have one on the SC but how did you trace it or was there an obvious issue with the heater? Tricky
