Might as well have a V8.

    LED wiring

That all makes sense but imo nobody in the history of anything anywhere ever said they're fitting LED's to save power. People fit them because they look better, fresher and brighter. Meaning that to avoid changing relays or having to faff about when you hitch up, load resistors do have a place...

    Seat belt shoulder bracket

Hi all, just a quickie - I have four new boxed seat belts as pictured. I went to fit them in my one-ten but discovered there's a Mount missing. Where the tape measure is, on my old belts is a triangle bracket the belt moves through, which bolts up and behind the shoulder, but new belts don't...

    Brake Pipe replacement...

Well worth getting a decent tool, not a cheap 12.99 one. Mines similar to this but not facom

    Disco 3 (LR3) Engine oil

Sounds like my Dagenham dustbin, good fun on smooth country roads but awful around town, dodging every manhole cover. Tyres are 205 40 17. I miss my disco.

    Defender 110 anti roll bars

Standard practice for ARB drop links is just cut em off. Only special tool needed is of the angle grinder variety.

electric problem in need of advice

It's nearly always an earth fault. Defenders are lacking in earths from the factory and with a body that bolts together using different metals, foam, sealant and then later on corrosion, it's hard for anything to make a full circuit.

    Rear screen relay

Is there one? Wasn't sure if it was direct Switch to window.

    Disco 2 Handbrake - a few questions

Yes, although my perfectly normal Peugeot partner comes with a wheel chock from new, as well as the five others I've had.

    Disco 2 Handbrake - a few questions

Good, just thought maybe the op needed that clarifying as when I first read it I thought you were suggesting there should be another click in the lever, like Some normal cars.

How many seats? Could look at 130's.

    Disco 2 Handbrake - a few questions

You mean movement of the vehicle, not more movement of the lever?

Wanted Mountain bike rack for defender

Have you considered the one that fixes onto the spare carrier? Boss goes in trapped by the wheel then rack just clips on and off.

    Defender shelves/Racking

Could you not buy an ex- power/gas/water/telecoms one? Already done and often with extras like webasto heater and flashy lights:)

    $45,000 Discovery 1?

Yeah I know what you mean, A mate just a couple of months ago got rid of his s2, after spending a fair chunk on it trying to get it running properly, with a couple of 'specialist' garages, it was still running rough afterwards, but fast. The body was terrible though, full of bodge and the boot...

    hybrid chassis

Easy way is strip a disco 1. Use its number plate and cross your fingers but whenever it goes through anpr plod will see a disco on system but a tratter drives past. Will Richards build a 100"? Dealing with DVLA is best avoided.

    $45,000 Discovery 1?

Yes, Rog in 'max power' (remember that? Nurse jakki!!! Pink or brown? On the pull) had a green one, did they do a 309 gti aswell?

    $45,000 Discovery 1?

I like my old ford posters and magazines and trip to santa pod once a year with wad of cash and tow rope but always coming home with only the car I went in cus they're all too expensive. Do you look at rst's on eBay? A bloke down south somewhere sold two in bits the other week (series 2's not 1...

Saying good bye to the double cab

Had I known my rebuild would take over three years I a) wouldn't have bothered and b) bought a 110 van type as that's what I actually wanted, three sheets of 2' x 5' (ish) board on the wheel boxes = instant bed. Less windows to leak, more secure. Imho you may as well take the rear tub off and...
