    What colour is this?

Thanks Mick, that’s a huge help. How many litres did you use? I’m assuming you used 2pac primer too?

Strip down and rebuild into the ultimate Overlander.

@landy-lee I swear by that Plus Gas He was a lovely lad, I visited him a few times. He achieved everything whilst enduring hideous issues with his neighbours. He was completely self taught. Each Landy he done, he learnt a bit more. He’s definitely a miss on here.

mick what were your mixing ratios. At some point I would like to do mine. Just to keep it respectable looking. Not looking for a Chelsea Tractor,

This little thing can stop 2tonnes of car [Defender...]

People often over look the fuel solenoid. I remember a couple of years ago it me out, just completely forgot about it and then dawned on me whilst replying to James Martin! Since then, my diagnostics always start with the smallest, cheapest, inconspicuous things. Once I’ve eliminated these, I...

I’ve not enjoyed a rebuild thread since Aaron Morris’s old builds - This is going to be fun!!

RX8 seats or other alternatives in 90 hard top

Smart car seats are a great option and relatively inexpensive. Just pop them on rails. Personally, I would retain the standard seats, add heated seat pads and recover. I always find them far more comfortable!!! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/265003557995 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/143784964349

    Agreed value for insurance

Normally, what I have done with previous classic cars was to contact the MG or Austin club and request a formal valuation with a letter. I then submitted the letter which was used as proof.

    Cubby box to third seat

Careful using a booster seat on the middle seat. I remember having this issue. It might be perfectly okay these days. Worth double checking though.

Mick are you spraying your Landy? It looks marvellous. Can I ask you where you got your rear windows tinted. I would very much like to do this.

Valuing a Defender - where to start...

£24k blimey that's a huge mark up on the £14k he was asking. Or am I confused? Good for him!

Valuing a Defender - where to start...

But equally if you can DIY it’s perfect and relatively low expenditure. That said, there’s just something about a defender that is I. The blood. For all their faults and subsequent woes, if it is in you, you have a life long passion and love for it. I can’t explain it!!

    Leaky injectors...I think!

Doing some routing around on here, I found this thread from 2012, similar issues. Shame the poster never fed back what the actual problem was. I’m noticing that. We all tend ask for advice on here then often fail to report what the fix was to help other, I know I have sometimes been guilty of...

    Inspection Pit Size

I was going to use this video as a guide to make one. The only difference is mine will be longer so that I can factor in 3 steps down.

    Leaky injectors...I think!

I agree, but on testing there’s plenty pressure there. If I remove the bleed screw it squirts fuel out with ease. I put on a Bearmach 300tdi mechanical fuel lift pump (Part No: ERR5057R) - For the price, I may look at purchasing a new one just to rule it out.
