    hello everyone

The opening and closing is the faulty latch. Not sure about the alarm, but it might also be caused by the latch. Change the front right hand latch and see what happens.

    hello everyone

I always thought that the tailgate lock was controlled from the front RH latch regardless of the position of the steering wheel. :)
  3. S

    hello everyone

Tudo bom? Usually this is caused by the front right (passenger) door lock being faulty. Change this first and it might also cure the tailgate issue as the tailgate lock is fed from the front right door latch. Boa sorte! This will give you an idea of cost...

    Rear dropping when parked

Absoulutely. And check the height sensors too.

    EAS Front left sensor

So, what is the difference signal wise between the rocker level switch on the dash and the laptop connected to the ecu?
  7. S

    EAS Front left sensor

So, how does the ecu know how to position the suspension except by feedback from the sensor? If you hadn't swapped them over as a test, it points to a bent sensor arm or other damage allowing a false height reading to be sent to the ecu .... I'm running out of ideas ... anyone? Do you still...

    EAS Front left sensor

Still sounds like a duff track in the sensor to me. I can't explain how the car software / ecu controls the sensor but Storey's software doesn't.... When you set the height from the dash control does front left change by the same amount as the others? That is, if front right moves by say 15mm...

    EAS Front left sensor

I haven't used Storey's software to do this but with the Nanocom you have to be careful not to enter exaggerated values when changing the height or the ecu will reject all your work and revert to what it had stored before.. If front right reports 120 for example, what does front left state is...

    EAS Front left sensor

Both front sensors are new, yes? You could try swapping them over to make sure .....

    EAS Front left sensor

Have you checked the rear right, diagonally opposite, is not too low? I have just been through all this after hitting a buried pipe in the desert where the rear left sensor was damaged and effectively stuck at high level. I tried for ages to correct the height but it would not move; swapped it...

    Play after steering box replacement

When the car is newish, the steering feels positive and responsive but not as "tight" as a rack and pinion system.

Help p38 cutting out wen warm

    Crank position sensor faulty. Probably.

    Probably a silly question but..........

One way around it is to set the driving lights on and then they always go off with the ignition.

steering - tries to throw me to the kerb

Do the steering box adjustment last after all play in the other parts has been eliminated, and then VERY carefully or you'll wreck it. Only exception would be if the steering box is either loose (the adjuster loose that is) or very worn, in which case do it first. If it pulls very seriously to...

V8 performance camshaft - any experience?

The cam I'm looking at is mild and just gives a torque boost. I do quite a bit of straight line cruising and thought the extra torque would be a bonus. Whether it merits 5 times the cost of oem is debatable, especially as it would be going into an old engine .... My engine is low compression...

V8 performance camshaft - any experience?

Thanks for the rply. To make it more complicated, I have the choice of a replacement engine (allegedly low mileage from a Japanese surplus RR) or to do the cam, lifters and timing chain). Total cost of the engine would be less than GBP 1,000 (labour wonderfully cheap!). BUT - you don't really...

V8 performance camshaft - any experience?

Hi All, Has anyone fitted a performance (ie, higher torque) cam to a 4.6? Worth doing? Cheers
