EAS valve block diagram - thanks Paul

Hi All, I got stuck with my valve block overhaul and was saved by Paul's schematic: https://www.dropbox.com/s/7k9yv70gi2ppqms/EAS-ValveBlock-v1.5.pdf?dl=0 I had swapped solenoids 6 and 7 ..... Thanks Paul - I was able to follow the wires from solenoid to multiplug and correct the error. I...

EAS gone mad - now I really need some advice

Hi All, This is a continuation of the "replaced valve block" thread which I put under Classic by mistake. By the way, there was pressure in the tank yesterday before I removed the valve block, so I think the reservoir side is good. I carefully checked the NRVs (OK), and all the solenoids, 5 of...

Just overhauled eas valve block now no lifty

Sorry all, it's a 2000 P38 V8 .... not a classic! Anyway, thanks for all the help - I've owned these cars for years and done lots of eas work but it can still humble me into jelly when a fault like this happens. I followed Paul P38's guide slavishly (or, so I thought!). I'm going to check the...

Just overhauled eas valve block now no lifty

Right - if the nrvs are in the wrong way the air will escape from the exhaust, won't it?

Just overhauled eas valve block now no lifty

Yes. I let run for a good 10. Minutes with a door open and no movement at all. Compressor didn't stop running.....

Just overhauled eas valve block now no lifty

Thanks -- I assume there is pressure, but its a good question - how can I check? Non return valves would be the first thing to check, I think. Back on to it tomorrow ...... the previous block wasn't that bad, I guess I could open it and check it over. Cheers.

Just overhauled eas valve block now no lifty

Hi All, Car had been settling a bit at the front overnight but otherwise ok. Always shot up in the morning, so to speak. Overhauled a spare valve block - -all new o rings, diaphragm ok. New driver pack. Now it won't lift at all. Pipes in nicely and no leaks visible. Some...

    Another air vs coil thread!

No. Not if you want to avoid hassle. Minimum is: Buy Datatek's eas software and cable kit Overhaul the compressor - allow GBP 50 or so for a crank, piston and cylinder kit, or budget more to replace it with new. Overhaul the valve block - kit say GBP 20. Replace o rings for the dryer and...

Oil Pump.....Do they need to bed in??

Saint - I don't know if this will help but I was in a similar position to you a few months ago. Horrible noises, tapping etc. Bought all the bits I thought needed doing - shells, camshaft, tappets, timing gear, oil pump gears. When the workshop stripped the engine they found plenty of wear...

Oil Pump.....Do they need to bed in??

Sorry to hear the news - I have a spare set of new shells (standard) I'd like to get rid of (and a camshaft). Bought but never used.

Cripes! I thought I could just replace the material with some generic stuff .... it is intact but the foils has almost gone.

Good Morning All, I need to replace the foil mat insulation on the firewall and also the floor above the cats. Had a quick search here and on the other place, but nothing obvious. Any recommendations, please?

P38 ABS - Help me please!!!!!

No. The nut holding the hub was loose allowing the whole hub to move enough to upset the abs sensor. No idea how it was caused, just mega relived when it was tightened ... and the fault disappeared.
