    Tips on Preserving a Chassis

To do a proper paint job on a chassis would take forever, which is fine if you have the time. The good thing with waxoyl is you can give the chassis a clean, mask up brake discs etc, then spray it everywhere

    Tips on Preserving a Chassis

I would clean the chassis, and waxoyl it ( inside and out ). The problem with paint is the rust can creep under it.

    John Craddock Buyer beware

i would have dropped the car back to them, told them to sort the faults. And asked for the keys to the courtesy car.

Belt, gears but why not a chain?

I can only presume Zeus made this kit as a cure for early 300 tdi cam belt wear issues. ( the cam belt kit was later changed). Or they made it for people who think cam belts are evil scary things from the future.

    Split charge voltage at rest?

With the ignition on yes, as you get a bit of a voltage drop. If your concerned turn off ignition and test batteries with a meter, you will find the reading a bit higher.

    AT or MT?

I agree with 90jc. I have 265 on boost alloys, and when they are worn out I will be getting 235's. You also end up with a crap turning circle with 265's

    Everything Dead

Start with checking the basics / bigger high current carrying cables and earth straps. Then focus on individual circuits. You will need a wiring diagram and multi meter. You will find the fault with methodical process of elimination. Don't (as some people do) randomly rip you car to bits, hoping...

Clutch bites at bottom of travel, what next?

I agree with nobber. Don't go delving in to deep until you have had a quick visual inspection and bled the clutch. My clutch did this when the reservoir went empty due to master cylinder leak

Weller wheels, centre hole too big?

Steel wheels locate on conical nuts not the hub, you don't want a snug hub fit with steel wheels.
