Defender 1992 Just had the clutch replaced and all the seals on the transfer box. I have drips of oil from the bottom of the transfer box which the garage says is residual Should I have residual? If so, how much and for how long? Cheers

Thanks James This sounds like a plan. The fluid does appear to be coming from the upper arm area and running down, so I’m guessing the upper arm area is where the sector shaft seal is as you’ve described.

Quite pleased with this side mount Jerry can holder. Saves a bit of room in the 90. The Jerry can is ex MOD which I refurbished colour matched and re sprayed the decals.

I was looking for alternatives myself, although I want it to look pretty neat. A few well placed and paintable strips of lead flashing may also work from what I’ve seen.

can anyone help identify this leak. As you can see it’s from the shaft leading towards the transfer box etc. Is there a seal here that can leak? I found oil dripping from it but unsure if it’s been blown onto it from elsewhere. I ran the engine for a while but couldn’t see where it comes from...
