    EAS - Losing My Way

Try letting the system build some pressure before asking for the next height. If you are unable to sort your problems, I'm willing to arrange a suitable time one weekend.

Obviously you have all the doors/tail gate closed a drivers/passengers windows open. Depending on where your located in Kent, I maybe able to help...

Snow Traction System for 20" L322

Official Land Rover show chains appear to be rebadged RUD chains, so I'd be looking at their web site for their version. I believe the reason Land Rover don't recommend front show chains is the lack of clearance between the wheel and chassis, if the axles are crossed. The P38 owners manual...

    TD5 versus M51

Its not smoke as such, I presume its just the general build up of carbon in the exhaust system that gets cleared out at high gas flow/temperature through the system, could be the catalyst cleaning itself (if fitted?). Possibly a bit of over fueling at the very top end due to wear, as far as I...

    TD5 versus M51

If you want a clean exhaust reading for MOT's and a sweet running engine, driving them hard is the answer. Sometimes I drive mine on/near the engine limiter for a short while through the gears (manual gearbox in mine), its amazing how much crap is held in the exhaust due to non-use of maximum...

    TD5 versus M51

No point in being gentle with a M51, pedal to the metal along with frequent engine oil changes. Engine doesn't wake up until just above 2500rpm, working rpm range 2600 to 4250 rpm, which means stirring the stick in my case... What we term as economy is about 2800/3000 rpm in...

    Clunking noise

I have the Borg Warner transfer box overhaul manual in PDF format, send me an email address by pm and I'II forward you the manual. There doesn't seem much else that fails apart from the VCU which is expensive to replace, the only other thing I've heard of being replaced is the drive chain.

    Pictures of leaky doors fix?

Arr...you should have started at the top and worked your way down, a dry arse with wellies, is better than a wet arse with dry designer trainers...you must always leave a drainage system......because you can only ever reduce water leaks in a Land Rover

    Clunking noise

Theres a possibility it could well be the transfer chain the only way I can think of checking it, would be to disconnect both propshafts at the transfer box end, with the main gearbox in park, handbrake off and see how much rotational movement is in the rear output shaft. 118,000 mls seems a...

    Clunking noise

As stated before theres a possibility that maybe the transfer box chain. Does it make the noise if you, 1. accelerate gentle 2 accelerate hard 3. under power up a steepish hill Is it one clunk or a series of clucks ie:machine gunning?

    Pictures of leaky doors fix?

I don't see a problem the lack of any form of working door seals, will allow any water out faster than it can enter, apart from when wading possibly....;)
