    Gearbox filling plug rounded

Did BMW/GM just use random bolts from the parts bin? I did my gearbox (Td6) last weekend and the filler plug was a countersunk T50, a badly chewed one and so tight that I was gung ho in the end, convinced I would have to drop the gearbox, but without warning and with a grazed couple of knuckles...

    L322 Transport mode

Update: Been in touch with Gap and they have given advice which I've followed but still no joy. In service/test mode I can access the bcm and see that Transportation mode can be activated and deactivated. Select Deactivate and confirm, Gap tool says standard mode now active, so one would assume...

Yes, battery is in good condition and fully charged. Will have diagnostic tool soon, but that takes low priority at the moment as my dad is very poorly. Keep safe and well all Cheers Mark

2003 Td6 Hi all Just been chatting to my neighbour, who was speaking to his mate... Blah... Blah... Anyway, his comments have really got me excited (too easy at my age). Symptoms : No central locking, no internal lights, no wipers. Answer is crying out that the car may have switched itself into...

    L322 Which diagnostic tool?

Now I am really glad that I asked the question, many thanks to you all for your input. Seems that we have all gained something useful from it. It does however lead me to another question, but rather than dilute this thread I will start another. Please stand by for another potential daft question...

    L322 Which diagnostic tool?

Thank you for bringing that up, rightly or not, I am informed that there are a "number" of faults/codes that this unit cannot read or clear. Any elaboration on this would be welcome.

    L322 Which diagnostic tool?

Hello All Without wanting to start a cat fight, can I ask for views regarding my choices for iid tool. I had intended to delay looking into this issue for a couple of weeks/months, I have more than enough work just general servicing and cleaning my new car, but now I have started I just can't...

    L322 First day with Sally

Hello all L322 Td6 Vogue 2003 I took delivery of my new car yesterday and started to try to understand her and become more acquainted today. Her name is Sally and even though I may be ever so slightly biased, she is beautiful. Ever so slightly neglected in the past for sure and certainly...

    Hello

Red arrows cancelled again this year I'm afraid. Yeah, all of us low lying counties will be moving inland shortly, looks like the East Lancs Road will be getting pretty chocker!

    Hello

Haha, only on a full moon. Southport sands are, or at least were, famous for many land speed records etc. Very shallow and flat, so indeed the sea always seems to be miles away from the shoreline. We do get some spectacular spring tides though. Beach is not what it was though, nature is...

    Hello

Hello all, from a very sunny Southport in NW England. Looks like summer has finally arrived here. I've been lurking on this site for a while now, just familiarizing myself with your stories and joy and mayhem with Land Rover ownership. Ever since the first RR was launched back in the mid 70's...
