    Flat Bed Disco 2 Project

My wife's car has some serious issues that I'm not able to sort out myself and no-one in Shetland will touch it so Project Disco was pressed into service for it's first proper towing job. At the weekend we took the car on the ferry down to Aberdeen to leave at a dealer until it's sorted. PD...

    Problem uploading files.

What, ACTUAL naked frogs or videos of naked frogs? Back on topic; the forum is also excruciatingly slow to respond to clicks on just about everything.

    Problem uploading files.

For some reason when I try to upload pictures to a thread the forum software tells me I'm not allowed to do that. Is there a problem or have things changed since the last time I uploaded stuff a few weeks ago? EDIT: I get a dialogue box that pops up with the following text in it: The following...

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

You have the same lights on the dash that I do. Probably a wheel sensor but you really need to do a code read to get a definitive answer. Mine's a wheel sensor. I must get round to changing it before MOT time...

2003 Landrover Freelnder 5 door rear seat

I've done this myself a few times but years ago. If I remember rightly I put them in folded up so that the front part of the hinges line up with the bolt holes in the rear part of the footwell. Put these bolts in first and don't quite tighten them all the way up so you can wiggle the seat a...

Freelander 1 My 4th Freelander. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Well, I bought one. Just arrived today. I'm on night shifts so it'll get fitted when I have the inclination.

    Disco 2 Long Ranger

Nice looking suspension. Got a bit lost though among all the replicated pictures. Seems to be half a dozen each of the same set of pictures.

Freelander 1 My 4th Freelander. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

I had noticed it seems really dim inside when you get in at night. I'll probably do that upgrade.

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

I just noticed that postage on that item is £14. Absolute **** take. Shop around, you'll find much more reasonable prices. That was just the first one I found with a quick Google.

Freelander 1 My 4th Freelander. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

I'm not fussed about the front seats being 5 door ones and I'm probably going to remove the back seats to restore the load space. It's just me and the missus and we very rarely have passengers. When her car is back on the road we'll have a sensible 5 seater for if we ever need that. I thought...

The Little Discovery That Could (financially ruin me)

Probably didn't realise you can get a socket through the hole in the back of it to undo the bolt on the turbo housing. Looks like you need a new connecting hose for the oil cooler. In case you haven't found one already...

Freelander 1 My 4th Freelander. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Cheers. I am acttually pretty happy with it. The guy I bought it off is a friend of mine in the local Landy club and he did loads of good work to it for it's MOT. He even supplied the handbrake cables free as he was a little embarrased that the handbrake was seized when I picked it up.

Freelander 1 My 4th Freelander. What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

After swearing off Freelanders a few years ago I now find myself with Freelander number four. It's out of necessity, not desire, though. My wife's car has been out of commission for a while and will be for some time longer so we were in need of something to keep her going in the meantime. This...

    Flat Bed Disco 2 Project

The tow bar is done now. Turned out to be a bit more of a mission than expected. When I offered up the old Disco tow bar it fouled on the underside of the bumper. So I had to take it off and cut about an inch off each side of the cut-out in the bumper to clear it. While I had the bumper off I...

    Flat Bed Disco 2 Project

Some much needed maintenance on the steering has been done. The steering box started leaking from the pitman arm seal shortly after I got PD on the road and the steering has been getting incrementally more woolly since. It was getting too bad to put off any longer so I took the steering box out...

    Steve's disco 2 rebuild

Back bumper looks very rugged and well made. It'll probably outlast every Disco ever built. Looking forward to seeing them both finished and fitted. No doubt they'll look awesome.
