    Other L405

Yes, they do ;) Like, I suspect, many on here, I run that Range Rover through extreme dedication to the cause, rather than being filthy rich :p My idea of a good holiday still fits a budget of about £600 - pretty much what it was in 1985! :D

Isn’t that more to do with the numbers of each on the road?

Thanks guys. We’re all too keen on bacon here for Piglet to have stood much of a chance ;)

    Disco 4 (LR4) Scorpion 255/50 - R20 109 M+S Tyres

I’ve owned two D4’s and both of them came with that tyre size, with the same brand and model of tyre. The problem is that your registration number will only tell the tyre company the sizes of rims that could have been specified on your car as options, not necessarily the exact ones that got...

    Other A ask...

Just called by to look and thanks for the replies everyone :D I still can’t understand why the powers that be have ignored each and every contact; they could at least have the good manners and common courtesy to tell be to “**** off and stop wasting their time”! ;) :D Anyway, I’ve met too many...

    Other A ask...

This thread’s been running for about 6 months and is over 10 pages long. I can’t see what the problem is and it’s such a shame as I’ve seen other L405 owners come and go and it’s really not that welcoming :( I’ve got out of the habit of asking now and am starting to come here a lot less...

    Help!!!!

Of all the great things about the L405, the reliability and usability of the Television / DVD player are not on that list ;) There have been more infotainment software rewrites and upgrades that you can imagine. Report this problem to your dealer and they should be able to get LR to authorise a...

Classic Intermittent starting on Range Rover Vogue

Not a fault I’ve had yet in 42,500 miles. However, I’d echo that batteries that are starting to die do tend to come up with all sorts of electrical oddities and if your battery is the original Also, software updates on these cars come thick and fast and if it’s been out of the dealer network...

Please can we have a L405 option in the drop down list for new threads in the RR Section?

Sadly, not But I’ve not given up, though I didn’t think that the powers that be would have let it go quite this long... The L405’s been out for 6 years now, but I appreciate these things can’t be rushed  I might just trade it in for a proper, “Landyzone approved” Evoque and the...

RRs tdv8 to buy or not

Does “property maintained” include a full service history as well? It’s a very different choice to an S550. Have you owned any Land Rovers before?

    Mixed tyres on Freelander 2

To avoid diff damage on a Freelander 2, make sure that tyres are of equal tread depth on the same “axle”. So, like you say, fit a new pair to the rear and keep the one decent one as a spare. There are plenty of single rims that you can put it for sale on eBay.

    Save the defender petition!

I’d have preferred it if LR had left a gap of just a few months between the old and the new as well. A 5 year gap is inexplicable.

    Other A ask...

Yes, it was the oil level sensor, where the wiring loom exits the motor. It’ll be on the ramp at the end of the week. I shall try and get a photo to post up.

Other L405 ... Range Rover on road-centric boots

Excellent! :D Good to see it getting mucky!! And not bad at all for a car that’s not even recognised by Landyzone
