Email tennis at moment with Autodoc for a refund - sensor was part number 30633 by A.B.S.. Autodoc looked back in their records and say that I only ordered one sensor last September but were happy to replace or refund if I gave them my VIN number . Gave them my VIN number. Then they said that...

OSF sensor open circuit aka infinite resistance (OL) on multimeter. Prised the stainless steel sheath off the sensor and there was a small quantity of water in the bottom where the dimple is. Water has obviously gotten past the plastic end cap and the stainless sheath and the internal rubber 'O'...

Thanks Kerm. I took them both out and greased them and put them back but still no joy. I need to test each one to find out if its just the one that's duff or both. What make is yours and how much you asking ? I've got my eye on a pair of Quinton Hazell ones this time. I've been looking for...

    P38a time to sell?

Keyfob maybe lost sync until it was read again by the coil on the ignition switch, or the car battery or fob battery is low charge. Mine unlocks on the fob every time but hardly ever locks on the fob even when it was brand new fob a couple of years ago.

The only time I have had erroneous error messages is when the battery charge was low e.g. gearbox fault errors in the message centre - never abs or tc errors. On another note the new sensor arrived from Autodoc the other day - manufactured by All Brake Systems (A.B.S) BV in the Netherlands, so...

Sensors should be pushed in until they contact the reluctor ring but use thumb or finger pressure only, if they are stiff take them out and ream or file the bores out until they go in smoothly, don't hammer them in as they have to be able to move out slightly and self set their own air gap. I'm...

Mine would have still been working fine 22 years later if I hadn't had to destroy them to renew the bloody balljoints after the MOT fail.:( The only thing I can surmise is that the coil windings must break easily on the aftermarket ones if the sensor measures zero ohms with a multimeter - maybe...

Hi there, no I don't - I've measured an old front one and its 1090mm but the book says 1100mm. I guess they are measuring from the tip of the socket to the centre of the stainless steel casing.

My experience with aftermarket sensors differs from Datatek's, in my experience they have lasted anywhere between 1 month and 6 months a piece. God knows why as there are no moving parts to wear out. They all have ended up going open circuit sooner or later. Its only a magnet and a coil inside.
