Hmm. It’s a thought. My head keeps going to something related to fueling on startup, almost like it doesn’t get the fuel in the engine to kick in - but I don’t know what as when it’s running it’s fine. Sometimes holding the key in pos3 forces it start but other times it goes “dark” and electrics...

update from today New injector harness fitted - no change!! started 2/3 times and wont start again now. Seems to be ok when cold which is odd. Haven't managed to do the CPS yet as I cant easily get to the sodding thing so thats, possibly, a job for the weekend when I've got a bit more time

Ah thanks. I’ll bear that in mind. It did look pretty involved!! Going to replace CPS and injector harness first as far more simple then tackle the seals as as next step if needed!

Have visually checked all all fuses and relays appear ok. I need to check with multimeter but unsure on exactly how to do that so will do some googling!

I’ll update again when I’ve changed the CPS. I replaced the starter about a week ago with a new Denso unit as I originally thought it was that but doesn’t seem to have made any difference! The earth lead to the starter and ignition cable look ok - I couldn’t see any signs of chafing or wear near...

Thought I’d get the jump on the disco this morning and record the non-starting as it was -3c and hadn’t been started for 4 days…. Started first time without issue! And again this evening. Bloody thing CPS fitting tomorrow if it gets above freezing

No drives fine when it’s running. No loss of power or anything. After running starting again is pretty much guaranteed not to work though!!

well this is the nanocom file - dont think it shows anything of value, but I'm not entirely sure!! fault codes haven't come back since clearing the only thing I've noticed is that the fuel purge and use of accelerator seems to aid with starting when its not playing ball - but not consistently

Started 3/4 times this morning which was less than helpful as I was recording to the Nanocom to get crank speeds on failed start. Recorded but now waiting for Amazon to deliver an SD card reader as that appears to have gone with the ex wife (if only she’d taken the disco too!!) Will update...

Thank you. Battery clamps are tight and earth has good contact from what I can see/feel. I’ll get under it at the weekend and disconnect it and clean it up just in case Voltage at idle - 14.3 Voltage on crank drops from 12.7 ish to around 10.5 Tried to start 3x this morning. 1st and 2nd fine...

Fuel pump is working. It starts to turn then dies. Not just a “click” - like it’s turned half way and then hits resistance and stops - and all the electrics go dark
