What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Bit more door action. All the rubbish has been cut out now. Shame I changed my mind and the upright is in two bits but hey…

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Bit more work on the rusty door. Just had to bite the bullet and change most of the upright too. Still got to work out a plan for that curvy bit but I managed to save one side of it to work off so that’ll help.

    Blooming doors. Welding advice.

YRM do the bottom section which is the same as the uprights, but not where it curves at the mid line. They also do a section that runs across the midline of the door from side to side I think.

    Ah gotcha.

Would you make one piece? I can’t decide wether to make up two side plates to fix to the base then add a top, or make one complete piece.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Fixed the lower door rail with a YRM part. Still lots to do though.

Hi all. Working on the rusty doors. I’ve done the bottom rail, but how do I go about tackling this curved pillar? Any pointers gratefully received. cheers Jim

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

You don’t think I should ‘fix’ it with a length of chequer plate? That seems to be the ‘authorised’ method. Or just give it a lick of paint.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Took a look at the doors today. Almost pristine I’d say.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Finished off the tub brackets and painted the NATO hitch red.

    What white is this then??

Well…. I hadn’t really thought about that. I suppose I will have to paint the roof at some point. I could do the rims then. I guess I wanted to get them done and in the vehicle. It seems I’m just getting a longer list of things that are 15’C dependent.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Cheers. I guess there should be some other hardware to strap the wheel on? I’ve got a bonnet mounted spare but good to know there’s the second option.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Been tackling the brackets and bits and bobs after stripping them all from the tub this weekend. Lots of wire wheel action and then a healthy dose of Kurust. Can’t decide whether or not to repair the bottom of the stay that goes up the centre of the tub front bulkhead. What does this actually do?
  14. congo181

    What white is this then??

Yes, but I wanted to get the rims powder coated so it’s not that easy.

    What white is this then??

Cheers slomofo - that’s really useful. My 110 is 1986, but I don’t know the age of the roof and sides I have. It’s the wheels that need matching to the roof so I think I’ll get a can of ivory and see if it’s the same.

    What white is this then??

My research tellS me the following. Limestone (early) LR005732 Alaska white. LR005710 Also Alaska white. STC3828VA NAL 603 Chawton White RTC4058VT NCM 354 Ivory White RTC6870VT NUC 456 White so there’s a few whites of this era to choose from

    What white is this then??

They’re rust white at the moment.
  18. congo181

    What white is this then??

I purchased a roof and van sides separately from my 110 to change it from a pickup. How do I know what colour the white is so I can match the wheels, if I don’t know the vehicle they came from? Good one heh? The only thing I can think is to get a couple of Halfords cans and do a test spray.

    Avon tyre profile?

I got my local tyre place to take the old tyres off the rims for me so I can get them powder coated. They gave me the old tubes and told me to keep hold of them as they are better than I’d get now. They were also going to get me the tyres but when I told them what I’d been quoted, they advised...

    Avon tyre profile?

I’ve ordered the Avon Rangemasters today. I got them for £109 each including delivery which is think was very good. I didn’t fancy the idea of putting a wider tyre on my 5.5 rims, plus they’re going to look right on the restoration. Cheers all.
