    Agreed value? Agreed by who…

And that’s the real issue isn’t it. If something did happen, you want your insurance to make it as right again as possible. But when it’s your valuing something that open to interpretation it’s tricky. I got some quotes and told them £10k and they didn’t ask for any evidence at all which...

    Agreed value? Agreed by who…

Hi Doctor. Which am I looking for - good question Either and both I suppose - if a member has previous experience of this and found a third party with credentials I suppose that would be ideal. Alternatively if there’s anyone with genuine market experience who could value based on the current...

    Agreed value? Agreed by who…

Hi all. Just completing my 110 restoration and want to get agreed value insurance. At the moment I’m just telling the insurers £10k to get some quotes, but what’s it really worth? I know everyone is always asking what’s it worth cos they want to sell it, but I don’t, I just need a proper...

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

Got the lock mechanism from Albert Jagger this morning so did some work on the cat flap. Made and welded a bracket for the lock, and drilled all the holes for the handle. Added the rod supports at either side if the frame. Random fasteners at the moment and the handle fixing bolts need...

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Finally painted the doors after much delay and prevarication. Get them fitted and maybe go for the first MOT since 2008.

    Door card nut inserts

Thanks for all the tips @gstuart - my LR is a very early 110 and the bottoms and sides of the cards are screwed into the frames with the plugs in the original post, hence the number required. @JUKE179r thanks for the link - Mike is very helpful but the video is sadly not applicable in this...

    Door card nut inserts

They’re the ones thanks @gstuart £1.39 each!! I need probably 20 or so. Let’s hope I can find them cheaper than that. Cheers.

    Door card nut inserts

Does anyone know the part number or spec of the nut inserts on the bottom of the door frames for the door cards? It’s a 1986 110 and I cannot find them listed anywhere. Cheers

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Just put the skin back on one of the repaired door frames. First time, and felt quite traumatic :-) Still, think it’s gone ok.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

I gave my second hand folding side steps some much needed TLC today, plus I visited Lynall and took some measurements of his cat flap for my project. He didn’t feel a thing!

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Made a little blanking plate to cover the old radio hole until I can decide what needs to go in it.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

They have a great inventory. Thanks for the tip. I think I’ll be going to them for the lock mechanism rather than knocking something up myself. Cheers.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

I’ll look them up - thanks. This is what I’m looking at at the moment.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

It’ll have a T-Handle like on a series. It will operate two horizontal rods that will cam into brackets in the side panels to lock. I’m also hoping to incorporate an internal handle as well.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

My plan was to have a galvanised strip riveted on to the lower face that dropped down over the tailgate. I could possible incorporate a seal into the back of that, but it’d take care of the drops at least.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

I’ve ended up welding the original cross rail back on. This allows the skin lip to stay the same, as well as giving more strength and height where the latch mechanism will have to mount. The skins all now fit back properly.

    Cat Flap - let’s see.

Got the repair section from YRM this morning (they’re a really good company) and have cut it into the bottom of the frame. I was going to leave the existing rail but in the end it had to come off. It may be that I need to add a bit in above the new rail. Glass still fits and it is still square...

    Wanted DEFENDER DASH

Hi Nathan. Don’t know if it’ll help but I recently successfully saved my dash and it was in quite bad shape. Photos available if you’re interested. This was the thread. https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/binnacle-mount-replacement.379360/
