    Anyone in and around Sheffield

I'm from Barnsley. I'm in the same boat as you. I've asked before about folks from south Yorkshire and never got any response. I find it hard to believe considering how many Defenders and off road modded Discos I see.

    Roof insulation.

3mm closed cell foam off eblag, cheap as chips and self adhesive.

    Smaller steering wheel

I've got a bog standard Mountney wheel with bog standard boss. Fits lovely. Boss isn't an issue. That's in a 1989 Ninety.

    Dinotrol and Waxoil

    The new defender!

Where are you? I dont give a **** about the new Defender, but that sounds like some grub worth going for.

    The new defender!

The problem is when they get to the used market, that is when all the expensive repairs will need doing, and I hate to think what the repair bills will be on those things.

    The new defender!

Jeep Wrangler is mingling. But yes we only get half measure American muscle cars.

    The new defender!

Glad you can afford a minimum of £40k. If I was spending that kind of money, it would be on a Ford Mustang, or a fully spaced Ford Raptor. Not a basic specced Discovery+.

    The new defender!

Not to mention Motrab, I think I their name is, in Iran, who makes a pretty identical copy of the Defender using Santanas original tooling.

    The new defender!

    Especially Kia, Hyundai and Nissan.

    The new defender!

The problem is, if the Grenadier costs too much, it will price out the kind of folks who would want one.

    The new defender!

Interesting they havent tried to sue the other companies that look vaguely like Defenders, like the Jimny.

What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Started using a half sized Land Rover rain cover over the top of the roof. Roof leaks terribly. With the cover, she's dry in the mornings now. Need a garage so I can take the roof off and scrape off the old sealant, apply new sealant and then respray.

    Choices, choices, choices. New tyres.

I recommend the Cooper Discoverer AT3. Quietest all terrains on the market. Excellent fuel economy. Great grip. I went for some lovely drives through the recent south Yorkshire floods with no worries at all. Best priced for a premium tyre.

    The new defender!

Nah, only needs one ECU, for the engine. An infotainment system really isn't needed. Just a head unit that has bluetooth and DAB.

    Helpppp

Side mounted seats can not be used with seat belts as in a crash, the damage it does to your neck and spin would kill you. Apparently its safer for the passenger to go flying around the cap and out the front window, killing the front passenger and driver on their way out.

What is this and what does it do?

    I did it myself.

    Helpppp

My 90 used to be a commercial, with van sides. It had side mounted inward facing seats fitted as standard. These did fold up, but they weren't particularly safe, especially for child seats, which arent allowed in inward facing seats. So I took them out, bought a pair of second hand Exmoor...

    Defender after a bump..

You can still check if there are any major deviations.
