Welcome @Probably over my head i know the 2.5 N/A is under powered, most people convert to 200tdi or 300tdi... But V8....lol Get in the defender section where the knowledge is good and am sure as @jamesmartin said change the floor and god knows what else..

Yeah going to send them with the FIP for a check at the very least, reckon my mates engine will be a month for strip down and rebuild. So got an opportunity to get mine fixed whilst hopefully getting it MOT and using it a bit. However the 90 FIP are still at Bob's could do with them back first...

So today fixed the oil leak from oil cooler pipes, Removed the viscous fan and cowling to get better access, afeter fitting and refitting still leaks so used a rubber o ring as well, that cured it Truckwash and super hot steam clean to get rid of oil under the bonnet & around radiator Stripped...

Park switch is a small plastic unit in the wiper motor but think if your missing intermittant then the stalk is your start point
