New springs will firm up the rear nicely. The old will be nice and bedded in with a little more "give" in them, giving a better drive.

Sounds like you are wondering if you can leave it out. I dont know if you can do that, rear of 90 is light and valve cuts power to rear brakes when you slam them on, this stops rear wheels locking up long before front. With discs I would think it would be even worse as more power. Not sure if...

You need original chassis for export, a stamped chassis always looks like a stamped chassis and it wont pass usa inspection. You can still sell it in uk, put some pics up here.

My old originals work the all round discs now fitted on the 86 90.

It's your 110, stamp away. The best way to get a galvanised chassis is to buy one already fitted

Did you check the rings fitted in the bore before putting them on the pistons.

Sounds like a dead battery, get a multimeter and check voltage. Check voltage as you turn key to start. Dont rely on battery charger meter.

Are you sure you haven't burst through the clutch lever. You will have to get under and have a look.

Just get a new rear cross member, if chassis is good, it will be an easy weld job. It slides on and you weld around the join, easier than messing about with plates and little panels etc.

Caledonian blue is the most cost effective colour for your td5.:) Paint it any colour that suits you, forget future value, enjoy it now. Paint it gun metal grey.

I used screwdriver and pressure from a helper. Plenty of watered down washing up liquid. Last bit is a loads of pressure and lubricant, then it just all slides into place.
